$12K for Quinn speech

When City Council Speaker Christine Quinn delivers her State of the City speech Tuesday, listen carefully: you've paid for every word.

Council Speaker Quinn's State of City speech will cost taxpayers $12K

An outside consultant is to be paid $12,000 in taxpayer funds to write the speech for Quinn, who is expected to run for mayor next year.

Sounds like a good use of tax monies.

She can't even write her own speech. What a loser!

Her mayoral campaign slogan: I spent $12,000 of your money so I could mouth words written by someone much smarter than I am.

A little too long for a bumper sticker, but who cares! You'll pay for a long bumper sticker, too.

You'll pay and pay and pay until you understand that I'm in control and you have nothing to say about it!

She can't polish off her own lies
so a mouthpiece is procured at our expense!

We all deserve a tax refund for this.

Voters, it's ultimately your responsibility
to pick out the genuine candidates,
if any are any running in the first place!

The clubhouse will continue to offer "hand jobs"
to the Queens electorate,
while assuring them they're getting the "real thing"!

in addition to having speechs written for them politicians might also tie puppet strings to their limbs so their gestures can be carried out by others too. Of course in Quinn's case the stings would have to be constructed out of steel cables to support her weight.

sorry. couldn't resist that. she's actually a fine looking damsel. ;)

Speaker Quinn is looking more like
(a less plump) Rosie O'Donnell
(with an ill fitting wig) as each day passes!

A similar smirk.

Maybe they ought to both get together
and "write each others' material".

They could even co-host the city council show.

The ratings would go through the roof!
