Crapping in the Middle of the Village

"Thought you might like to see what has sprouted over in my neck of the woods on 75th Street in Middle Village.
The entire eastern side of the street, save for a few smaller houses at the end
...and one that juts out into the middle of the street (I think it's a really old one - but even that has a crap house wrapped around it) look like this.
Notice how the cars have to park 2 deep.
Those houses are built with their backyards facing freight railroad tracks. The same exact thing is happening on the other side of the tracks, on 76th Street. It's a shame because the open space could have instead been converted into parkland or a nature trail. There were so many butterflies that would pass along the tracks each year. Now there's less and less to attract them." - anonymous

Where is this? By Caldwell Ave.? The houses in the first picture don't look bad. All the cars parking in the street look ridiculous.

It's "comforting" to see that there is an abundant supply of shit still available in the over priced shoddily built new Queens housing market !

I've flushed more interesting looking crap down my bowl !

Gag....turds for some unwary 3rd world buyer...perhaps ? !!!

The city thinks: hey, they are from Queens.

They are ignorant immigrants who would live in any conditions, or working class Neanderthals who don't know any better, and besides, we have sent enough signals to the general public that its a great idea to sell out and cash out and if there is any remaing resistance in the community, not to worry, for they will be ignored by their politicians, community board, and press.

After all, we need someplace to dump all these people.

Move over Bronx, Queens is headin' for the bottom.

How could Pol Pot allow this in his hood?

Do you think that property in Middle Village is over-priced? I think the houses are pretty cheap compared to Rego Park and Forest Hills, and especially in relation to Manhattan, given its proximity and the amount of space you get.

Yeah where the hell is Pol Pot Pinky? Looks like he raped yet another part of the community he represents.

That house in the middle of the street is so bizarre!

Hasn't that house been in the middle of the street for decades? I don't think that is new construction, but I may be wrong.

It is amazing how awful the city can get if no-one guides the hand of developers. Great photos, great post, great work.
