Amazing aerial footage of NYC

First featured by WPIX:

They’re awe-inspiring sights of New York City that rival any video game or Hollywood blockbuster out there, and they were captured by Bronx photographer and drone enthusiast Victor Chu.

From over the iconic Brooklyn Bridge to the famed Pepsi-Cola sign in Long Island City with of course, a pit stop at Yankees Stadium.

The sights in Chu’s “Ultimate Aerial Video of NYC! (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island) – DJI Phantom 2” on YouTube, will give any New Yorker goose bumps.

The extreme project took several months of shooting and editing this past summer with what Chu says were plenty of close calls.

In what’s considered the most incredible shot, Chu flew his drone through the Unisphere at Flushing Meadows Corona Park, all while complying with drone rules and regulations issued in the City of New York.

Happy Friday!

On a scale of 1-10:

I give it 7.25 - 7.75.

Some of the edits at the beginning are too short in length. The grandiose music gets tiresome. Some of the scenes are uninspiring and some well-know NY landmarks are missing. Have a feeling that everyone and his brother will be doing this soon unless Vallone has his way.

The future residents are already preparing their noise complaints about the number 7 elevated train - going by their windows every 3 minutes.

I'm old enough to remember when there was "Flying A" gas station there.

Unfortunatley, the luddites over at the City Council will soon ban the drone for private use.

Enjoy it whiel you can, fellow civilians.

Wow that's some really amazing video. I would just like to know how he got away with filming in Flushing Meadow Park. I called the parks department inquiring a while ago and was told there is no drone flying allowed in the park.

Nice. Next time I see a drone over my property I'm going to get my SuperSquirter and knock it out of the air.
I do not want to be spied on.
What happened to privacy?

I didnt need a video to show me just how dirty nyc water is and how my nyc is being liberal-fied in certain areas and how filthy other areas look due to these third world pieces of trash that live here anymore.

thumbs up for the unisphere

also for the shots of the cyclone, wonderwheel and the pavillion.the last shot at rockaway was sublime.

even for the flyovers of that kiddie mall imitation of yankee stadium and that glass pile of shit by the pepsi cola sign.

the soundtrack was a little miami vice.rhapsody in blue by gershwin would have been a little better.
