This robocall sounds like Shafran's reading a script, which I'm sure he is.

I was a Vallone supporter until recently, since you uncovered some of his underhanded activities, Crapper.

In the last few days, I've heard another rumor that's come from Vallone: that Graziano and Shafran are friends and that Graziano is only in the race to take votes away from Vallone so Shafran can win.

From what I've read about him, I don't think Graziano would do that. What do you think, Crapper?

Thanks for forwarding this to me, Crappy.

Anonymous - I can tell you with absolute certainty that I have never met Austin Shafran until this campaign. In fact, Austin and I never even exchanged pleasantries until about two months ago when we both marched in the College Point Little League Parade.

We definitely travel in very different circles - I'm from the civic association world and he's been a staff and press person for a host of politicians for over a decade.

If Paul Vallone is actually telling people this, it speaks volumes about how he's running his campaign. I guess we'll see how the voters respond to it on September 10th.
