Far Eastern Queens Crap

This home at 40-09 Westmoreland Street in Little Neck is a classic piece of Queens Crap. The bay windows stacked on top of each other are an interesting choice, but rest assured, it's crap quality. Notice the basement at ground level, balcony atop the 'stairway to heaven' entrance and the wooden steps in the alley.

What an ill-proportioned low class ($800,000 + ?) piece of crap !

What does prominent Little Neck resident Wellington Chen think of this neighbor ?

Now that he's been appointed to the board of trustees of the Metropolitan Museum of Art (h-m-m-m how about that ?) maybe he's planning a move away from all this?

Hey Little Duke of Wellington....have you got enough cash yet to make a down payment on a Manhattan townhouse.....maybe next door to Bloomberg ? Nah you ain't in that league.....but you just keep on trying ! Maybe the Willets Point job will put you up there !

Did anybody in Queens who builds these new "houses" go to Architecture school? Crap, crap and more crap!

Bash away, you vigilant, hawk-eyed arbiters of aesthetic righteousness! You sound like a bunch of Upper West Side brown-stoners, whipping each other into a mutually affirming judgmental frenzy. Keep your monicles in, people. Your (obviously) impeccibly tasteful Queens ranch homes ilicited rolled eyes when they were first constructed, too.

The impeccably poor spelling and grammar of the previous poster no doubt elicited rolling eyes and monocle-popping from his grade and high school teachers.

You don't need to be hawk-eyed to see this is an ugly POS you brain dead no taste a&$hole.

If you printed that home design on bathroom tissue.....I wouldn't wipe my butt with it !

No "monicles" anonymous.

Most of those ugly cookie cutter "ranch" homes were built on previously vacant land ! (At least they were low density and didn't put a strain on city services)!

Fine older homes weren't torn down or compromised to build them !

Well deserved cracks about my spelling. It was careless. However, the point remains valid - whether the ranch homes were built on vacant land or not, they were the crap of their day. Now they are "charming". These needlessly large homes are no less tasteless, just a little bigger and probably less energy efficient. In 50 years, the good people of Queens will be screaming the loudest to have these pieces of 'crap' landmarked.

I am not really sure what community is comprised of mostly ranch houses. But the developers who built those types of houses didn't build big nor did they pour concrete on just about every square inch of the property.
