What ever happened to the Fresh Air fund? Send them to the woods! Why do we need more urban vermin, who cohabit with roaches and rodents just to party with roaches and rodents? In the 1980s we were promised the electronic cottage, instead we got internet brothels, Starbucks potties and day care for kiddies, grannies and puppies, which would be taking care of each other in the cottage. Do they really need 5G to talk to their dog from the subway when most USA forests don't even have 2G to save you from a snake bite? A nuclear war would be healthy for humanity, by ridding us of all the urban vermin. A 1979 NSC study by Huntington that determined that in a hypothetical all-out 1978 nuclear war 80-90% of soviet land as opposed to 35-65% of USA would survive [Civil Defense, Sen. Bnkg. Comte.,08JAN79, p.30]. Nuclear overkill dies away when you raise the kilotonnage multiplier to the two thirds power because bombs don't multiply in the upwards direction, in fact they usually fall pretty much on top of each other, mostly in cities. And Rocket Man's nuclear winter reduces global warming: Fujii, Yoshiaki J Atm & Solar-Terrestrial Physics. April 2011, Vol. 73 Issue 5/6, p643-652 This study suggests that the cause of the stagnation in global warming in the mid 20th century was the atmospheric nuclear explosions detonated between 1945 and 1980. If everything is going to hell and everyone is moving away and no one wants to live here...
why is the rent so damn high?!‽

Nobody has the right to live wherever they want. They do have the opportunity, however. And that's why there are wealthier neighborhoods and poorer neighborhoods. Life is tough. That's also why there are relatively safe neighborhoods and very unsafe ones. So if the rent's too damn high for you in Long Island City, well try somewhere else. Thanks, but we'd like to keep LIC the relatively safe extension of China that it is now, and if the high rents keep out the socialist riff-raff and polar bear hunters, that's fine with me.

There's no such thing as a bad neighborhood. However, there IS such as a thing as bad people living concentrated in an area, and they make it unlivable. If you moved all of East New York into the shiny new buildings in LIC, a year later it would be just like East New York. Progressive idiots don't understand the sad realities of life.

Cry me a river, NYC snowflakes.
This is Reason #137 to move out of this hell hole City
What do you expect when you keep voting blue no matter who.

I have an answer... STOP voting for Democrats! Its that simple.

Nope, you need to get the investors out of the market to make housing affordable again.

Here in the great swamp of Florida, we just moor our trailer to a swamp post and have done with it. Can’t write more cause I gotta go to a book burning at the local library.

Sheeple it’s just as I thought, more apartments for the Rich indoctrinated college girls/boys from the Ivy League universities, dressed in high heels, ready to go on dates.

Quote: no one wants to live here...why is the rent so damn high?.

We know what shithole it has become.
However the rest of the world’s population doesn’t know this.
They all wanna come here for fun (like all trust funders), special protection's and free services.
Investors and speculators looking to cash in on all this are compounding the problem. I hate those mother f_ers
The democrats are an experiment in some kind of modified Scandinavian style socialism. This experiment has created a cancer that will be impossible to stop, this by design to give the white middle class white no choice but accept it or get the f_ck out.
Schools are telling college kids "dont pay your rent" "the goverment will protect you from eviction and break your landlord into bankruptsy or a section 8 contract they offered"
Thats what was done in Sweden and those other shit euro comm-socialist countrys.
Take your pleasure 8 cylinders or 2 door car away, force a drug addict, criminal or pregnant single mother of 6 with 20 boyfriends coming & going under your roof and you can’t do anything about it.
These bastards in Albany don’t believe in the federal Constitution, they go by a NY State Constitution they draft, update and alter to fit the agenda they want. Your rights will soon mean nothing

That’s what’s coming, and thats what stupid clueless voters asked for.
Blue shit is here to stay because millions of young voters were brainwashed in the NYC schools. They are all want socialism and will vote democrat. Too add: These new 750,000 of so bussed in illegals will get voting rights soon. You can bet some sneaky boilerplate is in the upcoming package that allows them to work and pay taxes. Its already being sold to cull "burden on citizen taxpayors and prevent them from becoming impoverished future criminals"
Yeah right !!
Does anybody really thing 750,000 people who can not read or write in any language are gonna get jobs that will pay enough to support living in NYC ?

Dont say the restaraunt industry, those bastards dont pay anything. They run on this revolving door employment system

Given how these twankers are so fond of outer space, why not build all this housing on Mars?

The Taylor Rule yields that fed funds rate should be at ten percent. Multifamily lenders are doomed by the end of COVID eviction and foreclosure moratoria. In China mortgage borrowers are boycotting their payments. COVID is not the only contagion from China.

You NYC voted Democrat again and again…get out before it’s too late

They need to put prisons and homeless shelters on the moon.
Put universities with all their metric systems there, too!
Leave us alone!

Whereas the Queens libraries in the 1980s replaced all the heavily academic books with videos and became day care centers for elderly and children, and of course, librarians. Fortunately, I managed to buy some of the best books they were trying to get rid of back then. I guess burning videos is more toxic than books, so they saved themselves up here.
