Mayor Eric Adams on Sunday hinted at opening more homeless shelters throughout the Big Apple — as he took aim at some “sacred cow” neighborhoods whose residents have waged war against the facilities.
Adams called out areas that haven’t “had their share of shelters” though stopped short of offering any specifics for how to get vagrants off the streets amid the city’s surging crisis.
“Homelessness is a New York problem,” Hizzoner said at a press conference at Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx.
“We can’t have any sacred cows where some communities believe they are not going to shoulder the burden. That is not going to happen.”
Adams made the comments after being asked about a proposal to have three homeless shelters — which would house up to 540 single adult men — set up in the Bronx’s Community Board 11 region.

“You know, I lived on the verge of homelessness as a child. I know

to oversaturate certain communities with shelters.”

Do the local governments in Jersey and Pennsylvania still give their homeless bus tickets to NYC? And all because a bunch liberal cake Eaters could feel good about themselves. THEY don't have to deal with the detritus of society.

New York has been an immigrant sanctuary since the days when Henry Hudson sailed up that river (whatever it's name is).
I feel bad for you Native Americans who have an issue with this, but it's hard to relocate 330 Million illegal immigrants and their offspring back to continents that don't want them any more.

Twaddle. Those weren't "immigrants." They were explorers at first, then pioneers and settlers. You "immigrate" to a place that's already built. Pioneers and settlers -- ya know, the people who built the country -- found a whole bunch of nothing with a few savages running around, and they turned it into a civilized nation. And it wasn't easy, by any means. Oh, and there were no welfare programs or hand-outs or social workers to help. Hard to imagine such a world, I know! But it's true.
Immigrants are a various mix of parasites, freedom seekers, entrepreneurs and hard working blue collar types who showed up after the really hard work was already done. These days, immigrants are almost entirely one form or other of parasite. But you go ahead and pretend they're all the same. I guess that's the rot they teach in schools these days.
