Track repair is disrupting Woodside

From Sunnyside Post:

Enraged Woodside residents, business owners, and community leaders are demanding that the MTA stop wreaking havoc on the neighborhood—once again—as the agency snarls Roosevelt Avenue and surrounding streets with its work along the 7 line.

The MTA has been working to repair the express and local tracks at the 61st Street station since Jan. 5, but the multiple cranes clogging up traffic and sudden no-parking regulations for hours on end have put a dent on small businesses and establishments along the avenue.

“We need safe, reliable transit,” said Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer (D-Woodside) outside Donavan’s Pub at the corner of 58th Street and Roosevelt Avenue. “But you can’t destroy a neighborhood in the process of saving a train line.”

First there's all this bitching about improving the "look" of the stations, e.g. 30th Avenue on the N line and not enough dough for essential maintenance. Then there's this bitching now about dough being spent on essential maintenance.

Bitch, bitch, bitch.

PS So long as Jimmy can show up for his Smile-Smile-Smile Photo Op. (They teach you that in politician school.)

Typical misleading of the public.

The MTA is managed by professionals given three factors: (1) a budget, (2) through regulations a work force, and (3) a excessive demand that is far beyond what the system was designed for. That demand is caused by development, immigrants from open borders, and emigrants from the nation's rotted out midsection.

Jimmy Van Bramer (where these words will be treated by Queens media as factual reporting) is intentionally misleading the public and putting the interests of the Machine ahead of everyone.

Get one point straight, people:

EVERY FACTOR MAKING THIS A PROBLEM CAN BE TRACED BACK TO SOMETHING CITY COUNCIL DID DO STUPID OR SOMETHING THEY STUPIDLY DID NOT DO.

"The 7 line is the bastard line of the NYC no one cares about us just look at the disrepair and the filth!"

*MTA begins rehabilitation/renovation programs on the 7 line*

"Ohh no! Look at all of these service disruptions and all of these cranes! Its not right the MTA should leave us alone!"

Outside Donavan's huh.
Maybe Jimmy is smiling at the boy & tranny hookers on Roosevelt ave.
It raises question they and all those people selling drugs & fake IDs get SO MUCH protection. The police literally turn their heads to "see no crime" then tell us things are great, lowest crime & problems since the 1950s which we all know is pure bullshit.
