The Sunday funnies

Before someone says there is a middle school building at that location: yes, I know, but the kids pictured aren't in the middle school. They're in the elementary school, which is nowhere near here. Are there really "constantly toddlers in the area"? And are they crossing the streets by themselves? If there's a crossing guard, why the need for a stop sign?

This is how Van Bramer spends his time?

No need for accuracy in journalism these days.

Good chance for a photo op.

Most dangerous place in America? Between Chuck Schumer and a microphone. Second most dangerous place? Between Jimmy Van Bramer and a camera.

Anyone else received repeated Amber Alerts as that protest was happening?

A stop sign has 8 sides. I hope they aren't planning to use the one in the picture.

Jimmy inaugurates the STOP sign.
Great job Jimmy.
Now get lost.

Just what every neighborhood needs another impairment to traffic flow. I mean the intentionally out of sinc traffic lights, the sped bumps, the pot holes, the pedestrians crossing against the lights, the maddening overpopulation and lower speed limit are just no good enough we need this.

Spot on camel, I'm all for implementing regulations and reduced speed limits. But a lot this is overkill, And scofflaw pedestrian behavior has gotten worse. Especially with the implementation of bike lanes. They have become extended sidewalks. And if you want to see pedestrian anarchy and impunity in 3D, just take a stroll on 7th and 8th avenues in times square and penn station around rush hour. It looks like runaway antelope out there, Actually it's the Walking Dead in real time. Everyone walks in the street and literally takes up a lane of traffic (funny how there is no bike lane on 7th ave). And this shit is actually spilling out on the streets too.

And I noticed the out of sync lights on queens blvd. Classic way to implement quota results. The money to build affordable for those who network and wait on line for confections and the assorted food oddities and craft beers has to come from somewhere.

It's 7:00 PM, do you know if your child is being used for JVB mayoral campaign photo op.

Is there anybody out there who took video of De Faustio getting heckled and roasted in Rockaway at the st patty's parade? That shit might be as funny as this miscue by the mayor of towerville,Queens.

Or maybe, Vibersity Queens?

Dibversity?

Well if you lived in the neighborhood you would know that in fact there is an elementary school at that sight as well as a middle school. The other site on 48 th just has kindergarten and I think 1st grade. Both sights are part of PS/IS 78.

"Well if you live in the neighborhood"

I don't, thank God. But take a gander at the school's website. The view at the bottom is not from 46th ave and 5th street, it's from Center Blvd, and the building at 46th street is labeled "middle school". By the school itself.

Once again, why would there be unsupervised toddlers walking around, especially if the early childhood center is on Center Blvd? If there's a crossing guard at 46th Street during school hours then what is the problem?

You seem to be missing the point that Van Bramer is an attention seeking tweeder and there are plenty of dopes in LIC willing to go along with his schpiel. These are the same people that complain that their neighborhood lacks vital services.

The road to City hall and the mayor's office is paved with bogus photo ops. Mark my words, this do nothing scumbag is going to run against BDB...

And if Van Bramer was ignoring the petition from the community, you'd be saying he wasn't doing his job because NYC developers don't want the stop sign.

If JVB becomes mayor city hall will be festooned in lavender...a very pretty color in my opinion.

"And if Van Bramer was ignoring the petition from the community..."

What petition?

R185 said...

Queens Crapper, You're correct. The 3/4/16 Woodside Herald article noted constituent complaints dating back to 2012, but no Petition, as such.

sorry, i'm not a fan of lavender, can we go with mauve instead? i'm sure JVB will pose for a picture in front of the mauve painted walls.

I hope so, at this point I'd vote for Trump over Big Slow.

Jimmy has got a hardon to become mayor. Any photo op he can grab is great for this nasty career politician.

Even Sesame St. knows to be responsible with such depictions. Unless these kids have HBO, they have to wait a year to be educated in basic traffic signs thanks to that charlatanistic fop.
