Thanks, I learned something today.

Ah, but Paul Vallone got money for a Fort Totten fireworks show. He had to wash the blood off his hands for being a real estate industry lobbyist. BHS had to comply and kiss his ring. Let's see if Don Paulo will do something real like get them money to restore their perilous portico at the officers club. Don Vallone is attempting to buy himself a new image as a "preservationist" to take the curse off of himself.
We all await your benevolence, soccer coach Vallone.

A piece of trivia:
When I was in DC for our bicentennial,
a local resident told me that Washingtonians call the Francis Scott Key Bridge that spans the Patomic River the "Car Strangled Spanner" during rush hour.

Please forward this wonderful piece of American history to the current residents of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and tell them this is what America is all about. I don't know what world they're living in but it's quite obviously not America!!!

"One nation . . . indivisible. . ." How do you translate that last word into:

Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Creole, Urdu, Polish, Russian, Italian, Greek, Bengali, et cetera?

Shame on F.S. Key for writing the words of the Star-Spangled Banner in only English.

Divide and conquer.

You can appreciate American values and be a loyal and true patriot without snapping to attention like a soldier every time the star spangled banner is sung. In fact, there's a case to be made that singing it at every sporting event trivializes its associations, and is itself somewhat disrespectful.
