Paul Vallone pretends that Avella endorsed him
This was taped this past week at the College Point Civic Candidates Night.
The school in Whitestone story has grown several arms, legs and eyes. It's absolutely amazing. Every elected - including Steve Israel - all asked Paul for help according to him. The petitions have mysteriously gone from 10,000 (at Bayside Historical Society) to 2,000.
At 7:25, he alludes to Tony Avella being united with him. At 7:30, he also adds Steve Israel again. He says that they're "already with him" at about 7:50.
At 8:30, the audience asks him for an answer about a DEP project at 11th Avenue and when it will be finished. HE CALLS ON CHUCK APELIAN TO ANSWER THE QUESTION as he has no clue.
He goes on to talk about how the CB is only advisory. The funny thing is that all of the problems that are being brought up were voted in favor at CB7.
Then around 11:20, Willets Point comes up. Again, he's acting as if everything is someone else's fault, not his votes on CB7. Add to that that he talks about there is "no Councilperson to stop it" as if Willets Point isn't included in anyone's district.
Saffran starts by hitting Vallone with refusing to debate him on NY1. He then hit Vallone on the non-citizen voter bill. Discretionary funding comes up after that and how Vallone backs "needs-based" funding, and he does well, and then goes after Citizens Union. Finally hits on overdevelopment, REBNY and Graziano's endorsement as well as Tony's refusal to endorse Vallone.

Avella publicly stated that he isn't endorsing anyone. End of discussion. It's hilarious that Avella is supposedly irrelevant, yet Paulie V. wants his endorsement so badly.

I had actually forgotten about Paul's poor record of showing up to CB7 meetings, and he's on the board!
He's horrible he will never show up to anything in our community but a ribbon cutting.
Things won't change at CB7 either, they'll keep approving every stupid over development that comes their way!
We need a councilman who will fight to protect, who has already fought and won several battles. We need SAFFRON!
Avella's non endorsement of Vallone is yet ANOTHER red flag.
Avella has long been a crusader against over development and has always been a fighter for the people of this community.
He endorsed Graziano because he knew Graziano's record of protecting, preserving and co-authoring the down-zoning we all enjoy.
He WILL NOT ENDORSE VALLONE.....hmmmm I wonder why?
I've heard Vallone's trolls say horrible things about Tony Avella the whole campaign. They basically blame him for anything that has gone wrong with poor Paulie V's campaign.
The fact that Vallone would insinuate that Avella stands with him another example of Valloney Balloney.
On November 5th you will all VOTE FOR SAFFRON!

There is obviously nothing that Stinky will say to try to please, or sway, an audience. I've never seen such public lying and obfuscation - especially when he knows that people are recording him and will call him out on the facts. "Facts mean nothing - I'm a Vallone!"
Tony Avella has a long political career ahead of him, and has already tried running for both Mayor and Borough President. He can't afford to openly thumb his nose at the Queens Dem machine. But by refusing to endorse Vallone, he has publicly signaled that he does not think Paulie is qualified to be in the City Council - and that is an endorsement of Dennis Saffran.

He also has had a terrible attendance record at CB7 - less than 40%. And, when he does show up, he votes in favor of every development project that comes in front of the board.

I live in a fantasy world where I can make up "news" stories about my idol Paul Vallone. If this doesn't get me a full-time job, nothing will.
