Yeah, me too. I got 2 replies from NYC saying its a multi year waiting list for my sidewalk to be repaired also. Let's see..will I still be alive when they get around to repairing it? Or they suggest another option, that I pay to repair it myself. Are they kidding! Maybe they should re prioritize and redistribute all those millions of dollars they recently have been throwing away on repaving streets that don't need it, which are poorly done btw and need proper fixing, and put that money into things that are needed and are more important like sidewalk repair, curbs, flush manholes, tree stump removal, streets in need of repair, etc. And not into poorly designed overdevelopment commercial projects!
Since when is the city responsible for sidewalks next to a privately owned house? All my neighbors who have had their sidewalks repaired/replaced paid for it themselves. One neighbor needed got a summons to repair his sidewalk, which he ignored. The city did the job but he was billed for it.
Screw the city. You will be dead and buried by the time the do it. Since my neighbors sidewalks needed replacing we got a package deal from concrete. Instead of $1200 he gave it to us for $800 each for the 4 of us.

Why your neighborhood is full of Queens Crap
"The difference between dishonest and honest graft: for dishonest graft one worked solely for one's own interests, while for honest graft one pursued the interests of one's party, one's state, and one's personal interests all together." - George Washington Plunkitt
The above organizations are recognized by Queens Crap as being beneficial to the city as a whole, by fighting to preserve the history and character of our neighborhoods. When the damage is caused by a sidewalk tree, the City is responsible for repairs.

I paid to have mine redone. Better off doing it than having a slip&fall insurance risk sitting there for years.
Plus, the horrible job the city workers do... no thanks.
