Notice Ann Jawin of the Center for Women standing alongside Weiner and Ferreras. Her self-styled women's center could never stand on its own two feet, it relies on public funds.
But Jawin does not represent all women. My mother, who happens to be a woman, feels that the statue should stay.

What else do politicians do but waste time and try to distract constituents with nonsense because they are so inept and cant actually perform ther job they were elected to do.
The U.S. is losing jobs by the second to countries such as China. And our illustrious politicians have nothing else to do but mug for the camera by a statue!
Maybe Weiner and Ferreras could tip off some scrap metal thieves, and let them steal the statue and sell the metal to a Chinese metal recycler.
It would be an appropriate metaphor for our country and our politicians.
I think that statue should be kept but changed a bit: Replace the head with Bloomberg's head and have him stomping on one figure named the Boro of Queens.

You would think that the Great Queens Feminists Julissa Ferreras and Anthony Weiner would indeed have their priorities straight.
How about a press conference in front of the Queens Tribune for their promotion of prostitution?
