Glendale RV extravaganza, part 2

Back in late June, the above video was produced by Reena Roy of CBS 2 news and featured here a couple of days later.

We have an update:
"While riding to work on Friday morning, I passed by that road where
that trailer and rental truck were parked by that guy who claimed he
was running some film and art school bullshit while riding over the
bridge over the rail line. Well you will never guess what it looks
like there now although you will not at all be surprised because this
city doesn't enforce any laws anymore. There are at least 2 or 3 new
trailers there and another box truck by the parking lot there. And
another trailer is even brazenly parked in front of Bob's Furniture
warehouse.
I don't have any pics because traffic was flowing at the time, but I
will make a better effort next time. I have to be cautious because one
of those trailers has a security cam and I don't want to be hounded by
these creeps.
I don't know if any of the Queens weeklies did an update report, but
I suggest that you or any of your allies or acquaintances go there and
check it out yourselves. Really, it's become an actual trailer park.
It's obvious people are living full time there." - JQ LLC

Great job, NYPD!

Prostitutes hang out in the parking lot there after closing. Do you think there is a connection with these RVs? NYPD should check HDs security cameras.

Not art school those guys are Irish Traveler gypsies from the south up here working "home improvement" driveway, chimney, roofing and every other scam known to contractors.
That is why they setup camp by Home Depot, they leave in November and start the process again in the spring.
They are GREAT bullshitters, the best around BTW and will fight dirty if you get into a toss with one of them.
I hate these mother F_ers, they cheat, steal and rip off the elderly.

You're welcome.

I rode by there on Tuesday and that makeshift trailer park was still there. The one by Bob's Warehouse had these sticker on it that said straight outta Bosnia.

Shout out to Reena Roy, she also did a segment on the Lefferts Blvd. station that I reported on. I think if it wasn't for that report, that station's upgrading would had still been delayed.

I think the issue is that RVs have the same license plates as your car and mine. Therefore, I believe, they are entitled to park in any legal spot in the city. We have the same problem in the Rockaways with huge dollar vans. Few have any license plates other than regular passenger ones and they park overnight on city streets hogging spots and creating dangerous conditions for drivers making turns onto narrow streets. Anyone have any expertise in this issue want to chime in?

I have seen this. If this issue doesn't get addressed then this part of queens will begin to look like some of the scenes that you see now of San Francisco & Portland Oregon. HEY MELINDA KATZ, DO YOUR FREAKING JOB !!

Do you have elected Councilmembers in Queens? Why aren't the constituents doing their jobs?

The Chinese are inundating KGH with their stinking shuttle buses and ambulettes parked on residential streets. They take up 2 spaces in an area where parking is very scarce due to the presence of Queens College. They are very unsightly, ruining the pleasant view of lawns and shrubs. And they are dangerous, obscuring the view of drivers trying to make turns. I doubt if the city council will do anything. They are too busy tying the hands of ICE to rid us of illegals.

I thought there was money to be made by the city by towing and impounding illegally parked vehicles, no? Even piece of shit cars and trucks (and campers) have some value. Eventually someone is going to show up to get their shit, and if they don't after 30 days the scrap metal has value. Is this not true? Do they not do this outside Manhattan? I see this as free money for the city on the streets. Go get'em boy$!

There’s a few of these in Sunnyside. I see them on 37th Ave and sometimes Barnett. We also have a Home Depot down the street. And all this time I was feeling sorry for them! Although I was also annoyed that they were taking up parking spots.

What, you've never seen a trailer park? Glendale just loves that country music.

Community Board 6 should request that DOT install No Parking Signs (Midnight to 6am) Monday thru Sunday be installed. This was done on the cemetery side of Woodhaven Blvd to address the problem of commercial vehicles being parked overnight.

You mean full of white ultra-liberal trust fund hipsters?

Where? I live in KGH, and I've seen a few parked in driveways, but not on the streets themselves. But that might help explain why parking has gone from difficult to impossible here over the last 5 years.

Give them ECB summonses for emptying their raw sewage into the sewers and street.

You live in KGH and you HAVEN'T seen Chinese shuttle buses and other commercial vehicles parked on the streets there? Then you aren't looking. So far, I've seen them on 150th Street, 68th Drive, Main Street by the cemetery, Jewel Avenue, etc. A lot of them seem to have conspirators who park regular cars in the spaces to hold them until the shuttle bus drivers come home, then move the cars to let the buses park---and take up 2 spaces. They park those cars leaving like 4 or 5 feet between them and the next car, taking up 2 spaces so the bus will fit there.
