Affordable housing activists to protest de Blasio

From the Daily News:

Four years after Mayor de Blasio was elected on promises of making the city more affordable, 5,000 people are expected to descend on City Hall and say he hasn't done nearly enough.

Metro-IAF will marshal supporters across the city at noon Monday to call on Hizzoner to go beyond his affordable housing plan and back their own.

The Metro-IAF plan calls for building 15,000 units of affordable senior housing on dozens of vacant lawns and parking lots owned by the New York City Housing Authority.

Seniors in NYCHA would get first crack at the units, freeing up their often large NYCHA apartments for younger families, some of them homeless. At the same time, Metro-IAF wants the mayor to spend big on NYCHA to repair deplorable conditions.

Metro IAF is a branch of a Saul Alinsky organization - literally. Who funds this group?

No matter what anyone here thinks of Saul Alinsky, a man who has been dead for over 40 years, it truly says something about the general untrustworthiness towards the corrupt mayor.

And it should say something about the underlying cruel conservatism masking as pragmatism of de Faustio's thinking too.

What is the definition of "affordable housing"?

Come off it, JQ. Alinsky was the other side of the coin of social exploitation who treated people like stupid, inattentive sheep to win by any means necessary. He states openly in the intro of "Rules for Radicals" that his book is a manual for how to wrest power away, the counterpoint to Machiavelli's "The Prince" which taught rulers how to maintain it. To what end? For some ex-activist turned bureau chief like DHS commissioner Stephen Banks to become the next leader? No thanks. Groups like this are the dog running after the car, with no plans or conception of reality for what to do when they catch it.

My impression of this protest:

'Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, Gimme, etc.'

Just more people who want something for nothing because they are 'entitled'.

I hope ICE stakes out the protest. I am sure DuhBlasio wouldn't have sanctuary for those people.

Bill de BLASS-hole, a default, counterfeit intellectual politician (not public servant!), is nothing more than a cradle-to-grave, government failed, 'ALL-PAY-to-PLAY-and-NO-WORK,' REBNY sycophant of epic, humanitarian (and ecological) fail——and, the public be eternally duped, bilked, robbed, scammed, SCARRED FOR LIFE, and damned!

Worse, Comrade de BLASS-hole's chronic public record of propaganda lies, deniability and dishonesty, disloyalty and extreme, cognitive dissonant narcissism have now surpassed the megalomania of Boss Tweed and Tammany Hall, more than 100 years ago.

If this hyper-corrupt, entrenched and establishment-rigged, DemonRat, unfunny circus clown is reelected, then it's time to break out into anarchy and pandemonium in the streets——and, to 'PUNCH BACK TWICE AS HARD!'

What for? He's gonna win a 2nd term anyway! Protests are useless. Retraining for higher salary jobs make your housing affordable.
Less crying and more sweating!

He is definitely going to win a second term and we should all give him hell for arrogance, ignorance and serious lack of enforcement of local laws.

Yawn! Perennial 1960s style protests!
As useless as tits on a bull!
You should be VOTING EN MASSE and holding you LOCAL POL'S getting to the fire!
You all have no ducking right to even just complain if you do not vote!

Yes, yes, and yes. The squeaking wheel gets the grease.

Look what happened to Hillary.

If we're lucky da blazio will meet the same fate but ONLY if we all vote him out.

It seems to me that the "DOPE FROM PARK SLOPE" is not such a dope. Why?

1. Between REBNY and DHS, he is laughing all the way to the bank.
2. Never has to use the non-functioning subways like NYC peons do.
3. Free gym subscription.
4. Free SUV with a chauffeur to attend GYM every morning.
5. Three secretaries (to keep his wife out of his hair).
6. Exorbitant salaries (for said secretaries) provided by NYC residents.

Question: Was his wife on the on the ballot? Did we elect her too?
Answer: No. Nevertheless, she feeds at the trough too.

AND WE ALLOW IT.
