First off, I like the sound of P-day.
Second, I'm sure you're not a fan of the Simpsons, but Homer Simpson grudgingly made a point about how there used to be two different holidays for Lincoln and Washington's birthdays and combining them lost folks a day off from work and the fact that we still don't know how to properly spell President's/s'/s day shows how we need two days of R and R in February back.

Some states, especially in the South, did not celebrate Lincoln's birthday. It never was a national holiday only a certain states' holiday. So now every Tom, Dick, and Harry & Kwame, Mustafa, and Mahatma racial/ethnic group wants a day off for something. Look at Juneteenth. Juneteenth!!! What the hell is Juneteenth? An event that took place in Galveston, Texas??? What's next? A national holiday for Diwali, Eid al Fitr?
Enuf holidays already. Put an END to these proliferating holidays and DO SOME WORK!

About those new holidays you mentioned, apparently they elongated the school year. So despite new days off from school, they actually have to wait for summer vacation longer. Doh.
