From the NY Times:In a rare display of unified public anger, a sizable portion of the state appellate judges who hear cases involving New York City have criticized Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s top legal adviser for making “insulting,” “imperious” and “misguided” comments about the court system.
The rebuke from 18 of 20 justices of the First Judicial Department of the Appellate Division of State Supreme Court was delivered in a letter published Thursday in The New York Law Journal. In the letter, the judges barely contain their contempt for the adviser, Michael A. Cardozo, who has been the city’s corporation counsel since Mr. Bloomberg took office in 2002.
