Property was cheaper in these locations because they didn't have public transportation. That's why people chose to live there. Having said that, it's well pas time that the city built more express subway and buses to service these areas. We need another "communist" president like Dwight Eisenhower to start building a 21st century subway, train and bus service.

In Brooklyn they are putting neighborhood loading zones on McGuiness since they can't mandate underground loading zones in those small buildings. Also, remember what Giuliani did in Rockefeller Center (when the lefties all protested dressed as cows), instead of redirecting pedestrian traffic above or below ground, he redirected it sideways, to the middle of the block - in order to allow emergency vehicles to go through unimpeded. The lesson in all this, is if there is a will, there is a way to fix things without messing other people up with congestion pricing.

It doesn't matter if you believe in global warming or not. Reducing smoke is a good thing, less illness, no catastrophic warnings or delusions. Traffic congestion is bad. Standing cars smoke more. Ambulances don't get there on time. But Congestion pricing means many things and there are many solutions. The car haters only focus on those that satisfy their ideology and career plans. Soft on crime policies leave black neighborhoods vulnerable to more violence, congestion pricing affects POC more since they tend to be cab drivers and it will just bring in more traffic to predominantly black and Hispanic neighborhoods since everyone will try to drive around the congestion pricing tolls, then they want to ban gas stoves which alot of restaurants rely on for flavor of the food and they will make POC buy electric stoves or make their apartment buildings change every stoves in the building which I'm sure they will probably pass the cost down to the tenant somehow. Then they want to ban gas cars so the POC will now be forced to spend even more money switching out their cars and they are always complaining about the "wealth gap" but meanwhile they want them to buy expensive electric cars and electric stoves. And all this electricity im sure will cost more than gas so they will have to suffer with that too. Dumbocrats don't care about POC at all.
