Capitalism really is wonderful. Money talks, everyone else can take a hike!
First they did away with the parking lot directly across from the Central Library to build a high-rise. Now they want to do away with the parking lot behind the DMV and police precinct to put the bus terminal. Do the "planners" and "experts" want people to work and shop in Jamaica? Where are they supposed to park? Not everyone who works at the library can physically walk down to one of the garages on Archer Avenue.
Buses are for communists!
It is so satisfying to see these idiot buses being kicked out!!
Move it so the children can breath clean air in Jamaica.
THey did that in FLushing in 1950, promising a new terminal soon, still waiting. Clair Schulman wanted to put FLushing bus terminal in WIllets Pt. Jamaica's two terminals (the one across the library and the one along Parsons Archer) are an exemplary success for Flushing, now they want to repeat Flushing's mistakes in Jamaica? It took cops fifteen minutes to go three blocks to the Wendy's massacre because of the bus non-terminal traffic in Flushing. (They turned the streets into a bus terminal, making it impossible to traverse. Bloomberg untangles the bus routes through downtown Flushing, which was a big, if imperfect improvement, but they kept the new bus stops a secret until the bakery decided to display them.) Is any of these people actually AWAKE when they do these things?
Do we get discounted rent for living on a Brownfield?
THey moved a bus route to satisfy Dale/Damon Hemmerdinger to service Atlas Mall. The only thing the mall is successful at is being notable as a major league failure...
If the Sheeple had voted for Zelden this would not be a issuse.
