After the fire - flies

"Hello,

Since the fire that destroyed both the [Strawberry Farms] market and laundromat, an increase in flies has hit the area. The smell of the rotten food is making it hard to reside nearby. 311 has been notified on several occasions. Hope this can get out to the masses." - anonymous

Sorry. But it's not an election year. You will have to wait.

Flies where?

Fire where?

Why some people posting comments think that the area where they reside is the center of the universe?

Could be more specific?

WHITESTONE, Queens – Residents in the Whitestone area awoke Wednesday to discover their beloved local, family-owned market Strawberry Farm had been wrecked when a massive fire ripped through it overnight.

More than 100 firefighters were needed to extinguish the blaze after it broke out around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday at 24-11 150th St.

Sounds like it was caused by "lightning"...

A multi-alarm blaze that took hours to extinguish, and there's rotting food still inside? This doesn't seem likely.
