Voters instructed to go to poll site that doesn't exist

Not sure if Democrats have same mix up. It appears Republicans have no place to vote in Astoria. When they received their notice, it told them to vote at PS 10 (NOT A SITE). When they go to PS 70, the actual site, they are being turned away.

COMMUNISM AT ITS BEST??

RESTRICT THE VOTING PROCESS!!

Last time I voted in a Primary Election I was handed the wrong color-coded card. I vote Republican but the card was for "Democrat". I think somebody else on line brought it to the attention of the 3rd World Election Employees at the table. I definitely know it was on purpose. I wonder if my vote would have actually counted???

My polling place has changed so much--going from looking like it was run by a Senior Center to a massive Asian conglomeration.

NICE TRY BUT THIS ISN'T A CASE OF COMMUNISM AT IT'S BEST JUST INCOMPETENCY BY UNTRAINED POLL WORKERS AND A BROKEN SYSTEM!!

How about the time my neighbor and I wanted to vote as registered Republicans and the poll worker did not switch the machine's lever to take a Republican vote (did you know that this is part of that machinery?) and the machine jammed. They wanted us to use a paper ballot but she and I sat down and waited for them to repair the machine. She was 90+ and wasn't taking nonsense from anybody!

This was obviously before the scanning machines...and I can only imagine what they can pull with those!

Hard to believe, isn't it?!

Out of curiosity, does anyone know why Democrats are voting for delegates and Republicans for candidates? When did the NYS Republicans change their rules? There's nothing on the Queens GOP website about being a presidential delegate.

Crowley is behind this for sure.

Untrained poll workers?

They sent out notifications with the wrong polling site. Thats more than just a mix up.

My registration card says demacrat,I have corrected it the last 5 elections and it has never been fixed, some sort of fraud is going on for sure.

Ok. As per Bart Haggerty this card the guy was carrying is old. He may have mistaken it for the one recently mailed to him.

Fraud or incompetence? Buh-bye democracy...or should I say democrazy???

Dear Astoria Repub Anon,

At least you received a notice. This Astoria Dem did not.*

Of course, the nyc city council electeds are the yokels that want illegals to have the vote.

How many illegals do you think already do?

*(Nor did I receive one piece of campaign mail.)

Did anyone get asked to show ID when signing the log book?

Why does the Bd of Elections web site NOT say what are acceptable forms of identification?

Why does the Bd of Elections web site NOT say this is a "closed" primary and that the only primary in which you can vote is the party for which you are registered?

That card in the picture is very old. It talks about levers and red handles from the old machines that are no longer in use. Not surprising the voting location is no longer valid. This seems like an issue with the individual voter, not the election.

I had no trouble voting at all. But I also noticed that the senior citizens are gone. Everyone who was working at my voting site was Asian. However, they all spoke excellent English and were very polite and helpful. Funny thing is, I was one of the only people there voting around 10:00 in the morning. I was in and out in a few minutes. I expected it to be packed.

Although I am not having the same unconstitutional problems a big percentage of voters are having being a registered dem, I was able to vote but not without a few interactions with the workers at the voting booths there, one of which was creepy.

When I went to the counter to give my address to vote in the correct district, I enunciated loud and clear my address and the person still got my address wrong when he repeated it. Do these people have short attention spans or was this just a tactic to infuriate people, because I furiously reacted and practically yelled my street name to this dumbass, which evoked uncomfortable laughter from the two other workers next to him.

Then came the actual filing. After I filled in my choices, which for some bizarre reason included delegates, which I had never seen before and I filled them out anyway (I wonder if people didn't filled those thinking it was insignificant), I went to the scanner to insert my sheet, but there was a guy there whose job was to show people how to insert it, but as I put it in he did not move away, for my sheet is exposed for him to clearly see my votes. This is a violation of privacy and I left feeling very unnerved considering how fucked the elections board is and how thousands of people got fucked by their districts on bullshit technicalities. Also on my mind is the easy ability to hack these cheap computer voting systems.

Apparently, this is designed to discourage people from voting. This is a subtle, passive aggressive form of fascism. And although Trump managed to overcome this obvious willful incompetence from the city and state since he has shitty competition, predictably Sanders lost by a wide margin because people got disenfranchised from trying to change their party affiliations or by having their affiliations taken away from them. This also happened in Nevada and Arizona. No wonder Hillary and her lapdog superdelegates, politcos and news media wonks are so confident and cavalier.

Stupidity, fraud, confusion...the best partners in the great Democratic Dictatorship of Queens.
The political mob runs the borough. Your vote is just window dressing.
When the choice is among shit, you get shit! In this case mediocrity which is as good as shit.

Hillary is already measuring the drapes in the WH,voting is just to let you feel like a part of the system, just stay home and watch the coronation

This is deliberate. Democracy in this country is a charade.

The good news is 60% for Trump.
If we all show up and vote will be very hard to manipulate outcome
5%, 10% maybe, but a landslide is not doable.
Hillary is toast if running against Trump.

Look at the ballot it should be printed in English ONLY !
We the tax payer pay for the printing of all these "extra" languages.

But you miss the point. Who cares who the president is? It's the local Dems that own Queens and NYC lock stock and smoking barrel. They can't lose elections. Look what happened to Silver's seat - right back to the party despite some oppossititon.
