This meeting, which was left off the public record, has the vibe of a scene in Goodfellas or The Untouchables, except with a dumb ambitious idiot mayor and a gang of skeevy greedy worms.

The result of that meeting has hastened gentrification in the city because of the development that ensued along with the area median income rising thanks to stupid transients leading to the rise of rental market rates and in Crapalino's sleazy case, an attempt for his client to profit off a deed flip of a nursing home in the lower east side. As for NYASS, their bribes led to unnecessary strife and worry for the horse carriage riders for almost a year.

And how do these criminals get punished, with pathetic fines. 40 grand is nothing to Mr. Crap who agency has made a half a billion dollars since de Faustio got elected in 2013. 10 grand is nothing for Nislick and his wife, who probably has benefited greatly in other projects that got approved because of generous rezoning and DOB indifference that didn't get scrutiny because of their pursuit to destroy the horse carriage industry.

And de Faustio, the biggest fucking idiot ever to run this town, will remain in his position and continue to unabashedly lie and deny about every intransigent offense he committed and spirit of the law breaking because of those two goddamn supreme court decisions that made political bribery legal.

On the bright side, this exposes the once protected "agents of the city" which should initiate more punitive measures dealing with scum like them in the future. If those elected and appointed will want or a make an effort to.

There have been so many of these meetings that he can't possibly remember this one in particular. :-/

No shit, Blaz and the Governor took a ton of $$ from the film & TV people and the closed father & son unions that work it. This handful of people control and own 90% of what we see and hear, read and see in NYC including the TV and print news so it has remained "black"

The unbridled arrogance that this depraved subhuman displays (to the complete shame, dishonor and disloyalty of the mayoralty, like nothing and no one else!), is unprecedented, to date――and even more disturbing is how the system takes so intentionally long to nab him ――exactly like everyone else in City Hall and Albany, all of whom have been OPENLY practicing their corruption, graft and endless greed for centuries!

Frankly, the entire, ancient, empire-racket system is finally collapsing.

❝American government is corrupt. Those who have enough money can almost get anything they want from our government, whether it is tax breaks, or subsidies, or policies and laws changed, removed, or added.❞ —Ravi Batra, The New Golden Age

I used to love my great City of New York: the beautiful 'Mom 'N Pop' stores, the excitement of living in what used to be a unique experience of urban pleasure. Now, it's a padded cell for an openly criminal enterprise, where the only people who suffer IN PERPETUITY are the duped, bilked and scammed taxpayers', despite that there is still taxation WITHOUT representation.

What message does this send all city residents when fines for graft are not even in the high six-to-seven-figures, and no one ever sees a single day in jail?

That's why there is such lawlessness, vigilantism, tyranny and anarchy on the streets of New York (and throughout New York State, straight up to Albany, and beyond!), but the only difference between what happens at the BOTTOM of all vigilantism and lawlessness, versus what happens at the top, is that government sanctioned enforcement is called in to reinforce a police state reaction, where the petty criminals are almost always hanged (and, if not, their lives destroyed), as the great criminals are elected to public office (as they keep their cradle-to-grave jobs for life, for which everyone else continues to pay the ultimate, soul-crushing price)!

All corrupt, New York City and New York State politicians continually enjoy BETTER odds than a Las Vegas casino (or, much closer to home graft, the Aqueduct Racino's foreign-owned gambling mill-and-racket, compliments of Genting): THEY NEVER LOSE!

Separated at birth:

Bill dicBlasio & Shitstorm Trump

Both are pretty much one in the same: arrogant, liars, cheats, thin-skinned "no-criticism", "I am always right", "I don't apologize for anything I fucked up", out for themselves, not qualified for anything that requires strategic planning & thinking. AND of course, both are little whinny bitches to the max.

Don't talk about Obama, Hillary, every other politician like that!

What are you talking about? There is no crime here!!

Preet cleared this guy!

Stop with the baseless accusations. Bill DeBlasio is as clean as the pure driven snow!

I think you really have to be mentally ill to think there is some fundamental comparison between Trump and DeBlasio.

Trump worked his whole life, followed the law and built an empire through that hard work.

DeBlasio was a professional parasite who never met a tax he didn't approve of or want higher.

Trump doesn't denigrate one group to ingratiate himself with another (tax the rich!)

DeBlasio never worked an honest day in his life.

The fact that they both seem to be in love with the sound of their own voices is about it.

Sure Trump worked hard but got silver spoon fed a million bucks from his Daddy to start his empire.

Agreed JQ, but on the other hand some get handed a million bucks and don't do dick with it.

And hear I am defending Trump. Thanks ;-)
