Sad sight along the LIE

148th Street and Horace Harding. What a coincidence that every store in this strip decided to move.

No coincidence, Crappy.

According to ACRIS, the property sold for $3.1 million on January 22nd of this year to a new entity called Eight Islands Realty I, LLC. The previous owners, Granieri Enterprises, Inc. had purchased it in 1994 for $499,000. I guess they decided to cash out and either delivered the building vacant or the new owners got the tenants out post-haste.

Coming soon: A Megal Homeless Hotel Shelter or third world country fedder specials or just more fucking NYC CRAP.

So one has to wonder will a new homeless shelter hotel be built there or a completely out of character fedders special?

The Hydroponic Garden Center re-located to College Point where all those who brew their own beer and grow their own smokeables can still get happy.

It's a plus for that valuable piece of property. Something more substantial than those single story taxpayers will go in there & hopefully the neighborhood will benefit.

Damn, I shop at the hydroponics store every spring because it's convienent and has interesting seeds.
Anon#4, do you know it's new address? Maybe I schlep out to College Point once.

That was a thriving strip back in the sixties when I attended PS 163 and ate lunch at Saints.

If all the other stories on here are any indication, we're gonna get a homeless shelter and no taxpayers at all.

Love how the last store still remains. Really paints a picture of who the owner of "Eight Islands Realty I, LLC" is and what they plan to do with the lot.
