Borderline crap sits undone

The St. Nicholas church-to-crap conversion is taking a while.
Everything at this corner is currently an eyesore.

Once again, all this for a supposed 3-family house.

Ok, so 6 family. Still sounds like BS.

We build eyesores in Queens. The Land of Anything Goes...to Shit.

More people should be involved in community. We need to landmark these houses of worship. Would rather it pass hands in denomination than a teardown.

Of course it's BS. For one thing, by building two buildings, they do not have to provide parking.

Sad to see what became of that tree. So often it's poor tending/maintenance that results in a heap of dead wood.

More people means they need to provide LESS parking? How does that work?

The developers don't want anything landmarked, and the developers own the councilman, so the councilmembers don't want anything landmarked. End of story.

It is BS - the reason why they are building 2 3-Family buildings is because if they built 1 6-Family then 1-2 of the 6 apartments have to be rent controlled (i.e. Section 8).

Its all going to hell-in-a-hand-basket no matter how they manipulate it.

The only way to afford living in this hostile city's and its taxes is both husband & wife have to work (like slave dogs)or you need to take in tenants.
I have no choice but use Airbnb because its near impossible to get long term tenants out once the establish residence and start screwing you.
My last water bill killed me, then the harassment over my small motorbike behind my own dam gate.

A single elderly homeowner on a fixed income doesn't stand a chance, thank god for Airbnb. I would never want to put a Lego apartments on the roof or do what the church did here to keep my property. I whish this communist doped up mayor would overdose himself and drop dead!!
