"Why on earth would the President of REBNY be on the search committee for the next CUNY Chancellor? Their tentacles are everywhere...

The Mayor probably wants to sell the City College campus to developers.

Who needs education for poor locals when you can just replace them with rich hipsters?

cuny is one of the worst "urban universities in the word -see all rankings, and which accepts anyone who cannot get in any other college. A fabric of diplomas.

Maybe the plan is for CUNY to remain solvent by depending on predatory developer funds similar to the neoliberal plan for the same source to fund NYCHA repairs by dropping market rate apt towers on public housing playgrounds.

Queensborough Community College is being investigated for corruption.
