2-family home to be replaced with 20 units in Kew Gardens

From Forest Hills Post:

A 120-year-old Kew Gardens house will be demolished and an 8-story residential building will be built in its place.

Demolition permits for the 3-story, 2-family Tudor home at 117-03 Curzon Rd were filed in December. The house dates back to the construction of Kew Gardens as one of seven planned garden communities built in Queens between the late 19th century and 1950.

The property was purchased for $1.5 million in May.

The new 20-unit structure will be 80 feet tall and 14,498 square feet, according to Buildings Dept. filings.

Coming soon: wall to wall Chinese living in bunkbeds stacked ceiling high. Yet another beautiful neighborhood despoiled by them. Just wait.

I notice in my old neighborhood (Oakland gardens) there knocking down the one family homes and replacing them (in the same footprint) with homes that have 5-8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. the infrastructure was never meant for this type of volume. its putting 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag and the city is just letting it happen with no regard for schools, waste water, shopping and basically how the whole environment will be over burdened. Glad as hell I am out of there.

NYC will not be completely happy till they destroy even fucking community and fill up every inch of space with overcrowded shit. How can NYC say they are progressive when they do the complete opposite on everything and this is a major example. Destructive dumb over-development. AND granted not once inch of anytime of green will exist.

This has happened all over Flushing in the past twenty years.

So, current day Los Angeles?

Pity. It was a lovely building, one which looked increasingly out-of-place with the taller multi-units going up around it. I imagine at some point, no prospective buyer would really want a property literally and metaphorically over-shadowed by taller buildings, unless they were going to put something equally as-tall. Profit before preservation, what else is new?

One wonders when the equally beautiful place on the opposite corner will go; being a corner lot, it doesn't actually suffer from those issues as much. But who wants to have a 2 story home dwarfed by a 8 story tower? The neighborhood becomes unappealing, and you end up feeling isolated, not appreciative.

And where the FUCK is Beep Katz? What does our burro historian think? He's gone on record of being anti landmark designation. Imagine that a borough historian that doesn't believe in historic preservation. Only in Queens!
The Donald Manes mantra of destruction lives on.

How many months before we have human gridlock in this city? Not a fan of cold weather, but Pennsylvania, Maine and Vermont are looking better everyday.

NYC is regressing. Warren Wilhelm Deblahsio is John Lindsay redux.......

Blame the former owners for selling to builders instead of families. Also0, blame them for resisting landmarking.

This is what happens when we had Obuma for 8 yrs. No immigration laws were enforced and these people breed like rabbits and need someplace to live which drives rents up which in turn makes developments like this highly profitable ,,folks, if you're not happy with the finished product , go back to the root Cause!!!

Pennsylvania, Maine and Vermont?
Yea that's what I thought and brushed off warnings before making the epic mistake of mistakes.
The country--As in scratch your ass, interact with deer & squirrels and have to drive miles on roads loaded with alcoholics to work or anything done. Almost everyone is an lazy alcoholic and related to somebody including the police, nosey wanting to know all your business so they have something new to talk about.
Local government corruption is WORSE then NYC !
Add $4000 oil heating bills lousy overpriced food and bagels, you will get a Walmart filled with stinky dirty people, 2 coffee shops and a 7-11 if your lucky. Oh, and good luck if you have a "non pediatric" dental or medical emergency, they bring you to the hospital AFTER your found dead in your home or roadside behind the wheel. (I have personally seen this several time aong with DWI and limousine winary fatality's)
Its much worse and more isolated in Pa, NH, Maine and Vermont!

Yea real fun stuff, especially during in winter.
I lived in Mattituck (Southold) and that was bad enough, so bad I sold the house quick cash sale at a $70K loss to save my sanity. I literally wanted to kiss the ground walking on Myrtle ave and up Fresh Pond.

You want an honest opinion based on "in the field" boots on the ground experience I will give it to you:
There is not faster way to kill a person from New York City then then putting them in the country, most native New Yorkers can not adapt no matter how much they may think so. -- at the times of total disgust included.
I honestly rather be dead then have to live in some shit-barn laden countryside. -F that!
After this experience I am keeping (fixing up)the house in Ridgewood despite the neighborhoods problems.

I'm goin' up the country, baby don't you want to go?
I'm goin' to some place, I've never been before
I'm goin' I'm goin' where the water tastes like wine
I'm goin' where the water tastes like wine
We can jump in the water, stay drunk all the time
I'm gonna leave this city, got to get away
I'm gonna leave this city, got to get away
All this fussin' and fightin' man, you know I sure can't stay
So baby pack your leavin' trunk

WRONG. More people were deported during Obama than 2nd Bush and by the end of Trump, there will be more from Obama than Trump. Do you ever actually read a legit newspaper or do you get your news from Facebook, friends or Fox News and other assorted bullshit social media. READ PEOPLE, because the government, especially Trump, loves illiterate people with no independent thinking.

This comment makes no sense:
"More people were deported during Obama than 2nd Bush and by the end of Trump, there will be more from Obama than Trump"

Is this liberal crap'ola, some kind of new Trump hate propaganda or am I missing something ? Did these crazy people really want a Clinton or Sanders socialist ?
I want a president with a lot of hate and reality of the situation.
