Let's celebrate a 30-unit building on the site of a 1-family house

There's an interesting interactive map over at Curbed showing the projects planned for Flushing. Take a look at it. It's not 100% accurate, but you do get the sense of how desperately developers and the city are trying to stuff 10 lbs of sausage into a 1 lb bag.

And you have to have a nursery school on top of all? Imagine having 90 people living here and 20 little ones running around downstairs. What a disaster! The community board and elected officials MUST STOP THIS!

What's next door to it? It doesn't even look big enough. I guess more of china will be moving in. It's just as bad as the one family house they knocked down here in bayside and built a row of 6 2-family houses. Welcome to china!

Like I said and I will continue to about these predators, they are mentally ill and have no souls or conscience.

The majority of these units will have those criminal micro designs, that is the only feasible way this will fit that amount of tenants

Will this be built with EB-5 help too?

These are the New Bad Days

The parking will be out of hand here. Only 20 parking spots will be created? You damn well know that this will easily turn into 10 people living in a one bedroom apartment. They will just do like what was done before and split up each room into a little bedroom to sleep in!

room for 15 bikes. lets get priorities straight.

Naw, welcome to Honest Joe Crowley's Planation. This is the fault of the democratic machine. The Chinese show up because they are invited. You would do the same.

No I wouldn't. The whole "development" stinks and reeks of corruption.
Some big monies exchanging hands with the added benefit of guaranteed tax payments and tax payers.
Now the Chinese Gov. just went after 300K party members, leaders because of corruption. 10K got heavy jail time.

"...trying to stuff 10 lbs of sausage into a 1 lb bag."

Replace the word 'sausage' with 'shit' and you've got it!

Excellent article, but only touches the surface.
There is a much longer list with all kinds of buildings going up in residential areas, some are mixed use, some are really big.
There is even churches being built as we speak.
Forget driving, soon will be impossible to even walk around here.

Is this Koo or Vallone?

LMAO !! "trying to stuff 10 lbs of sausage into a 1 lb bag"
Mayor Dibl-ASS-io would not like to see a 5 story brick box with windows & balconies to be built on his block in Prospect Park, so why would he make it easier for shady developers to do so throughout the city?? he just doesn't care about our real concerns. Look at what is happening in Toms River NJ (see link below)

Flooshing...the packed to the rafters Orient...where life is cheap and shitty.
But not for Councilman Peter Koo. He secretly lives in the Port Washington Great Neck area.
Only 30 familys living cheek to ass? That's the wide open spaces to a Chinaman!

Let's not forget that they are planning to move the Flushing YMCA, located at Northern and Bowne, to the Flushing Commons megaproject under construction. The vacated space on Northern will no doubt become be developed into yet another high rise condo luxury building.

The day care center scam. We have one shoved on our street. Apparently it's considered a service to the community or some BS. Plus with Mayor Dum Dum's push for free babysitting excuse universal Pre- K. They get green lit pretty quick.

No I don't could not care less about Chinese corruption - its Joe Crowley's fault. Everything;s his fault. It about time we get out of the 19th century and into the 21st.

Crooked Joe Gatta Go!

Too bad. Because corrupt Chinese developers and corrupt local politicians will make everybody's life a living misery as you can see.
And that's why a federal investigation is long overdue to the underhanded practices of the corrupt actors that fuck everything up.
How the fuck do you think anybody gets away with violating zoning codes and practically every law on the book?

If groups in Queens get nowhere and no funding and are ignored because they go against Joe Crowley how can people from overseas get anywhere?

Is it a coincidence that jobs are going to China and Chinese money earned from those jobs are going into Queens real estate?

Where is the missing cadalyst? Why its Congressmen like Honest Joe Crowley doing squat for his clueless constituents but perhaps spending time harvesting money for the Hillary Clintons and the Democratic Organization in Washington.

For most of us, the only time he notices us is to ask for money. What baLLs.

Harvesting money from people like the Chinese while grinding those who fight for America and Americans into dog food.

Interesting record of the Democratic Party:

Sending jobs overseas impoverishing Americans yet divorcing the party from those issues by importing a Chinese Enclave (with a solid Democrat voting block).

Said Chinese community built by Chinese real estate firms, funded from the money earned in China (by jobs and wages lost to Americans).

And the whole shebang 'greased' with - for lack of a better term - donations (kickback) - to the American politicians that make this all possible.

Cool beans. Anyone want to ask your local machine hack about this?

Interesting record of the Democratic Party:

You can add the GOP to the list. As Newt Gingrich said "GOP for Hillary".
Now that Trump exposed them for what they are the gig is up.

Locally the situation is much much worse.
Blatant, in your face corruption anywhere we look.

GOP does squat to us. For all intents and purposes they do not exist.

All our miseries are we should lay at the table of the Democratic Machine - superdelegates on down.
