Perhaps the driver was trying to avoid hitting the multiple pot holes that exist in the shopping center's god- forsaken parking lot!

This is a total ghetto store with crack whores hanging out by the bottle return machines. The clientele could be cast as extras in "The Walking Dead"! Destroying this store would be doing the community a big favor! But I'm sorry that anyone was hurt.

How come you never can get Häagen-Dazs on sale there? Neither at Walbaums? My nearby Chinese supermarket always sells it for $2.99. Plus really fresh fruit and fish too.

The woman driver is not responsible. She lost control of the vehicle after learning the city was planning a high school a half block away from this low grade no class shopping center.

In an accident where the driver's explanation is I got got confused between the gas and brake pedals, immediately revoke their license. They are a danger to themselves and others.

Maybe she thought it was a Drive Through?
Or maybe STOP signs need to be written in 20 languages
Like they do on voting cards?
Anyway I'm sure she will sue Pathmark for not having building bumpers
Maybe she was selling bootleg DVDs and saw the cops
A Lot of Maybes 🎯

No Asian driver jokes? Wow the times they are a changing.

"No Asian driver jokes?"

That statement is redundant.

DWA = Driving While Asian

Another example of the scourge of OPD.

Old People Driving.

Somewhere below us Stella Maychik is smiling. (you should google that one)

At least we didn't have to sit through the 'maybe they had a medical episode/condition' suggestions and/or 'the car is being checked for safety' nonsense.

This is an old people disease. It does not happen to 30 year olds.

We need to start retesting people over 70 for sight/hearing/reflexes.

WABC-TV keeps reporting that the Pathmark's in Whitestone. Someone give the reporters a map!

Such insightful commentary from the people on the street. TV news is dreck.

DWA = Driving While Asian

DWI = Driving While Indian or Indonesian or Idiotically
DWC = Driving While Caucasian or Chinese
DWA = Driving While Asian or African
DWH = Driving While Hispanic
DWJ = Driving While Jamacian
DWM = Driving While Mexican
DWV = Driving While Venezuelan

Need I say more. Doesn't make sense. Stupid Idiot commenter. Lame joke that gets nowhere.

Actually, I saw the 12 noon report today on ABC and they say "Flushing", however, the address is listed as "Whitestone".

Never, ever, a Häagen-Dazs sale at Pathmark (and Waldbaums). Always $5.49 for those 14 oz. containers. My nearby Chinese supermarket always lists Häagen-Dazs for $2.99. Even Stop & Shop has it on sale now and then. What's up with this?

"...the address is listed as "Whitestone"."

But their zip code is 11354 which is solidly in Flushing.

Anonymous said...

because of the zip codes that is why their address is listed as whitestone but it is actually flushing --

George, If I am not mistaken Waldbaums and Pathmark are one and the same.

Anonymous said...

You are mistaken. Waldbaums and Pathmark are clearly not one and the same.

George=awesome. That is all.

"Waldbaums and Pathmark are clearly not one and the same."

In 1986 A&P bought Waldbaum's and in 2007 A&P bought Pathmark.

Nice to know this corporate history. But stil. Why can't the Häagen-Dazs ever be on sale at Pathmark and Waldbaum's? It's always on sale elsewhere. What's up with this?

George:
It's called 'Quid pro quo'. A food supplier will sell the store Haagen-Dazs at a lesser price if they buy another product(s). It could also be contractual or the store may use it as a hook to get you to shop there.
We have a lot of stores and choices available to us, shop around.

georgetheatheist said...

I do shop around. Just bough tagain 4 14 oz Häagen-Dazs at the Chinese supermarket . . for $2.99 each. I just don't understand why Pathmark and Waldbaum NEVER have HD on sale. Always their cheap crap store brand ice cream. Maybe, just maybe, once Breyer's but never, ever, Häagen-Dazs. Even some Hispanic-owned supermarkets on Roosevelt have it on sale now and then.

Forget Haagen-Dazs. It's all about the Talenti.

georgetheatheist said...

I don't mind spending the extra 50cents or a dollar for Talenti -only IF it too is on sale. The Talenti container is nice with that screw on cap.
