Same old story in Bayside

Another nasty parking situation in Bayside.
This property has had multiple complaints about a variety of issues.
They got banged for the curb cut back in 2009, but nothing was done about it.

They should have been given a certain amount of time to correct the situation and then send the DOB the proof.

The DOB is not doing their job, that's part of how the developers are trying to take our neighborhoods.

Let them go to shit then the zoning gets changed to suit the shit.

So a car has to drive over the curb to park here. There is no curb cut

Wow. I am shocked that the owner is Chinese! *end sarcasm*

I thought you cannot pave your front lawn...or strip. So much for enforcement. If the DOB had to deal with Robert Durst, he would have been in Cuba by now. DOB...the department of bumblers.

Make that , DOB, the department of bribe takers.

I doubt that their illegal basement apartment complaint was even resolved!! I bet you that there are 4 families living in that house!!

At night there are two cars parked.

Since the cars are illegally parked why are they not simply given parking tickets for parking on a sidewalk? Couple tickets a day, every day should fix the problem if DOB won't.

So does this pave-over person expect that the city will ticket people who park on the street in front on this for "blocked driveway"?

From NYC Parking Code #98
Standing or parking in front of a public or private driveway. The owner or renter of a lot accessed by a private driveway may park a passenger vehicle registered to him / her at that address in front of the driveway provided the lot does not contain more than 2 dwelling units and that parking does not violate any other rule or restriction.

The white Mercedes is in a legal spot yes? It's there in streetview too, there's a curb cut for it.

Just because there is a curb cut doesn't mean it's legal. That's the point of the post.

On Google street view the home to the left (east) looks great with a green lawn. The home to the right was recently demolished and I can't wait to see what comes our way.

Speaking of Google street view the house directly across the street looks kike it enlarge the curb cut and parking slab to accommodate another car. Looks hideous with the white fence. Queens is full of "Crap" these days.

Still no one has answered the question. Is it legal to park in front of an illegal curb cut?

Korean? Italian? Or Greek? They all love cement over grass. Less maintenance.
