Biss Tours in settlement with state & city

A Queens tour company that took more than 1,000 customers for a ride to the tune of some $350,000 has reached a deal with state and city authorities to pay them back.

Biss Tours, which was based in Rego Park until it went belly up 15 months ago, kept taking money from customers for prepaid trips - even after company officials knew they couldn't deliver, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo said Monday in announcing the settlement.

Biss organized popular day trips to the Hamptons and Atlantic City, among other places, for more than 40 years. It also ran special trips to locales such as the Philadelphia Museum of Modern Art, during a Salvador Dali exhibit.
