Richmond Hill High School has a violence problem

School safety officials said a video recorded by students at the school on March 10 shows a gang initiation, with a crowd of students pummeling each other on campus.

Cops responded to the school after two girls struck another girl in the face, according to police records for that day.

The victim didn’t report any injuries, but a shaky cell phone video that safety agents provided to the Daily News shows a melee with a mob of students punching each other.

The safety agents union president, Greg Floyd, said scared students gave the video to agents at the school in a cry for help.

“The de Blasio school violence coverup isn’t working,” Floyd said. “Students are afraid of the gangs, guns, knives. They came to us because no one at City Hall is listening.”

Afterschool brawling

A 15 year old was arrested after he allegedly smashed another boy in the head with a wrench during a fight that broke near Maspeth High School last Wednesday, police said.

According to Capt. Christopher Manson, commanding officer of the 104th Precinct, students from another school came to Maspeth High School last Wednesday afternoon, after which a brawl ensued. After originally clashing outside the school, the teenagers moved to Elmhurst Park, located near the Long Island Expressway service road and 57th Avenue.

Police did not say what prompted the altercation.

“It got out of hand,” Manson said during a meeting with reporters at the precinct last Friday.

The student who was attacked by the teen with a wrench was not seriously injured, according to police.

Detective Thomas Bell, of the 104th Precinct, informed area civic leaders that the individuals not from Maspeth HS hailed from the Grand Street Educational Campus in Brooklyn. According to Comet Civic Association President Rose Daraio, Bell told her and others that the Grand Street teens assaulted some students at Maspeth. While one arrest has been made, police said the investigation is ongoing and Manson noted that there has been “chitter chatter on Facebook about retribution.”

Spa Castle redefines "upscale"

I know you normally don't like to reference World Star Hip Hop video on your site but I thought this was something quite extraordinary.

Spa Castle (formerly called InSpa IIRC) 131-10 11th Avenue, College Point, NY 11356 is the extra fancy Korean spa that arrived in Queens with much fanfare several years ago. There had been some neighborhood opposition to its opening that Tony Avella involved himself in but that seemed to subside after the business was up and running. My ex-wife is Korean and took me here about four years ago for my birthday. Place was very upscale and the crowd was predominately Asian and everybody was well behaved. I think it costs around $45 bucks for a day pass to use the facilities just for one visit.

From the video clip, it looks like ghetto hood rats have started patronizing the place. You would think it would be out of their price range but I guess not.Anyway, it's unbelievable what you see taking place in the video. Disgusting that these types seemed to have ruined this place. - anonymous

A night out in Woodside

A heated argument over a woman turned bloody when a man was shot after leaving a Queens strip joint, police sources said.

The unidentified 23-year-old victim left Club Perfection NY on 30th Avenue in Woodside after getting into a dispute, police sources said.

An unidentified gunman opened fire and blasted the victim one time in the stomach at 4:30 a.m. on the westbound service road of the BQE and Bulova Avenue, police said. He was critically wounded, police sources said.

An ambulance rushing to transport the victim to a local hospital later slammed into a vehicle on 82nd Street and 34th Avenue, sending two paramedics and two other victims to Elmhurst Hospital with serious injuries, police said.

Actually, it's Spring Recess, so this wasn't taken after school. But it looks like it was filmed in front of a school.
