This was originally a farmhouse built in 1845. It should have been landmarked, but.....

Another Beautiful house now the victim of foreign developers.

You know, when I read the progress of community preservation in the other four boroughs it is amazing the level of pride, interest, and resolve of communities that you simply find lacking in Queens.

In the not-to-distant past, much of Queens was made over from marsh and run-down shacks into some of the most stunning planned communities anywhere. There are even earlier photos of places built up by 1900 that were absolutely beautiful - as Flushing, Jamaica....

Now you see nothing but ugly garbage and new construction that resembles the worst of Asia and Latin America. No preservation - the usual about how much they loved their neighborhood, and one sorry assed excuse after another on why they let things go to hell.

Don't worry. Someone from China will buy the property, rebuild the house and turn it into a birthing center for Chinese females to have their children be born in the U.S.

And as usual, the Clueless Politicians look the other way.

"And as usual, the Clueless Politicians look the other way." That comment is typical Queens.

The real problem is the PEOPLE that live in Queens - oh they wax poetic on the really important things in their lives, like the best pizza or the best watering hole, but when it comes to sounding off about the neighborhood they all act like a Mafia boss walked into the room, heads down, suddenly looking at how scuffed their shoes are, saying nothing.

A few brassy ones will prattle on about how important THEIR rights are to do ANYTHING to their home they wish even if it means bringing down their community. Again, the neighborhood acts like a Mafia boss walked into the room, heads down, suddenly looking at how scuffed their shoes are, saying nothing.

It was a lovely house, but on the wrong (south) side of Atlantic Avenue. Over the years the neighborhood has turned to absolute shit. The current inhabitants have made it that way - and it's just as they like it.

When you have people from Third World countries move in and take over a nice neighborhood...guess what happens in a few years?

That's right! They turn it around and let it look like the the Third World Slum they came from!!

This is what happens when politicians ignore the tax-paying citizens needs and give everything to illegals, lazy, unmotivated people who do not want to work for a living, career violent criminals, drug addicts, and mentally homeless people.

NYC is where neighborhoods look like Third World countries and where violent crime is now a common practice.

You mean foreign investors have not purchased this property yet to house the illegals and give them everything they haven't worked for?

I'm shocked!!!

Oh, I forgot. The city is just waiting to let the drug addicts and homeless derelicts to move in so they can live there and claim "squatter's rights" and still not do anything when the property burns down!!

Typical of NYC political clueless bull.
