After nearly eight years as head of the Brooklyn Democratic Party, Frank Seddio has stepped down. "Good riddance to Brooklyn’s dirty, undemocratic Democratic boss," the Daily News editorial board proclaimed on hearing the news of Seddio's retirement.
Seddio was criticized during his tenure for perpetuating Kings county's powerful political machine, which is responsible for endorsing judicial candidates, choosing nominees during primary elections and setting party rules. So-called proxy voting plagued how meetings operated when they were held, and reformer club New Kings Democrats perpetually pushed Seddio to make the party operations more transparent.
"Let
me just say that if I were any more transparent, I would be arrested
for lewdness," Seddio told Gothamist in a phone interview on Monday. "I
don't know what else to do. Should I take off my underwear and let them
see the rest of my body?"
Despite how disgusting that would look, yes.
Maybe getting frogmarched out of his house in his britches by the feds might be in the future regarding his embezzlement case in New Jersey and where the money went from his debt in chicken restaurants in Kentucky.

This guy was a massive cog in machine politics in his borough, similar to what we have here. It's just as relevant.
ALAS, this shithead is part of the larger rot and decay that has ALL middle class (mostly) the remnants of white people, leaving this city——EN MASS. Likewise, the Teflon Shithead currently polluting and degrading City Hall, Bill de BLASS-hole (whom the purportedly FREE PRESS has continually given a FREE PASS for four staggering years, which is why there is outright anarchy, lawlessness and vigilantism in the streets), is now even more corrupt than 100 years ago, and the Tammany Hall of Boss Tweed!
Now, City Hall's most DISGRACED, GRADE A SHITHEAD is pushing his intensely incompetent, NOT politically elected wife to be the NEXT, SHABBY borough president of Brooklyn——and, this brazenly lawless shithead is even dangling support for incumbent 'beep' Eric Adams' fantasy, hopeful, would be mayoral run——in exchange for Adams' endorsement of city payroll parasite, Chirlane McPay, I mean McCray!
Now, stop me if you've heard this before, possums, but WASN'T IT BLOOMBERG who attempted to broker a secret deal with the formerly corrupt, City Council Hag/Speaker, Czarina Christine Quinn, in 2013, to anoint her the next cruddy mayor, in exchange for an unlawful third term for Emperor Bloomberg (which he brokered, and abrogated all pretense of public referendum, when We, the People voted TWICE for term limits)? The SAME worthless waste of council speaker skin who LOUDLY EXHORTED: 'I will DEFINITELY be on the ballot in 2013'——UNTIL SHE WASN'T?
There is SO MUCH corruption, graft and underhanded, low down, dirty GREED in this filthy, crooked and terminally entrenched, establishment-rigged metropolis of 'Mayhem & Mendacity' (that should be the OFFICIAL, Catch Phrase Slogan descriptive of NYC——PROUDLY hanged from the HIGHEST WELCOMING BANNER point, at ALL three citywide airports for newly arrived suckers), that the entire city has now become a padded cell of never-ending corruption that smells even WORSE than an ACTUAL raw sewage plant, NAMELY the Newtown Creek Waste Treatment Plant, located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn!
❝The worst illiterate is political illiterate; he hears nothing, sees nothing, and takes no part in political life. He doesn't seem to know that the cost of living, the price of beans, of flour, of rent, of medicine all depends on political decisions. He even prides himself in his political ignorance, sticks out his chest and says he hates politics.
He doesn't know, the imbecile, that from his political non-participation comes the prostitute, the abandoned child, the robber, and worst of all, corrupt officials, the lackeys of exploitative multinational corporations.❞ —Bertolt Brecht, February, 10, 1898 - August 14, 1956
❝A bureaucrat is the most despicable of men, though he is needed as vultures are needed, but one hardly admires vultures whom bureaucrats so strangely resemble. I have yet to meet a bureaucrat who was not petty, dull, almost witless, crafty or stupid, an oppressor or a thief, a holder of little authority in which he delights, as a boy delights in possessing a vicious dog. Who can trust such creatures?❞ —Marcus Cicero
❝The masses have never thirsted after truth. Whoever can supply them with illusions is easily their master; whoever attempts to destroy their illusions is always their victim.❞ —Gustave Le Bon (1841-1931)
