Hyper-development swticheroo for Long Island City abandoned warehouse property

This is from last year:

Commercial Observer

So it went from a multifamily residential project to a purely commercial one? Quite a switch.

No "affordable housing". Not even 20%?

Can't be terribly disappointed by this - if it's not truly affordable, better it simply be office and work-spaces than a luxury MU.

The real shock is someone building a purely commercial building in a popular gentrifying neighborhood. It seems like leaving money on the table. What do they know that we don't?

LIC is overrun with apartments and hotels. Commercial is good.
