Construction death in Brooklyn
From CBS 2:
It was a tragic day in Brooklyn, where a construction worker was fatally struck by falling construction material at a work site in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Chopper 2 was over the emergency response at the six-story mixed use building project near the corner of Myrtle and Marcy Avenues just before noon.

This day and age, with mandatory Site Safety officers on site, with mandatory Supervisors on site, with every worker required to sign in THEY STILL can’t figure out WHO he was Working for!?! the deaths will continue until Greedy GCs are held accountable for the exploitation on their worksites
Terrible, and just look at that pre-fab building material. Kit building made on a computer like in China
Was that a commercial or residential building.
Where did they get that building materials for that wall, Family Dollar?
Can you imagine the horrible collapse accidents which may occur to families or workers stationed in this building upon completion? Looks like it uses the cheapest of cheap building materials.
"cheapest of cheap building materials"
It is, all the shit comes on a flatbed in stages as a kit with numbers.
Made in China & Mexico now. Only the concrete is sourced locally for when existing foundations (written up as alterations) are not used. Even the plumbing is PVC and polyethylene plastic called "PEX"

Shit yea, in many cases they get a permit for an alteration and put the dimensions of the existing foundation into a computer. Then lop off near everything above and put up garbage. Nothing tested or proven, no architectural or structural skills needed aside moving, cutting & pasting modules on a LCD screen. I predict these el'cheapo CAD cookie cutter structures will start failing in many different way in 10 years.
Stucco is already falling off so called "modern construction" in Bayside, somebody's gonna get hit on the head. You can see falling chunks on sidewalks and lawns. Building's with cracked walls, cracked bathroom tiles and sinking shower tubs.
I seen better skilled construction in Puerto Rico then what this mayor jackass is turning his head to.
