Damaged sidewalks remain after 4 months

The huge slabs of concrete look like they belong at a construction site. Instead, the slabs are at the corner of 32nd Avenue and 168th Street in North Flushing.
Residents say the sidewalk has been destroyed since March when the city removed the trees damaged by winter storms, but never fixed the sidewalk.

I remember when I was smaller, there was a big tree that was causing the sidewalk to come up unevenly and it took the city 10 years to fix that.Then again that was 30 years ago but some things never change.

Homeowners. Buy a sledgehammers. if need be, hire one or two amigos and break the slabs up yourself. That's what I would do. Throw the broken pieces into the street in a parking spot. You'll get agency "action" then.

A lot of those damaged sidewalks are caused by deBlasio's cheap trees, which also pollute our homes with their cheap, smelly leaves
The news coverage must have embarrassed someone, since they removed the broken concrete and started to make the repairs on that corner yesterday.
