Another tower for Dutch Kills
From the Queens Gazette:
The owners of a parcel at 41-05 29th Street in the Dutch Kills section of Long Island City have submitted pre-filing permits for development of a 24-story, mixed-use tower at the site.
The 290-foot tall tower will feature 66.940-sqare-feet of residential space with 84 apartments measuring 707-square-feet each, including some larger rental units, and 2,050-square-feet of ground floor retail space, according to information posted on the YIMBY (Yes, In My Back Yard) website.
Permits are in place for demolition of an existing structure at the site. The developer has not announced an estimated completion date for the project.

Because this super overcrowded city can never have enough taller buildings to pack more and more people in, yet still maintain a shitty infrastructure that cannot handle half the population. MORE CRAP.
Over development? Naw, its dirt being converted into gold!
Thanks to Vallonia's Community Board One, the 'Community Board from Hell' where the motto for
managing a community's future is:
"since as we're all moving to Jersey or L I let's take the money and run!"

What the fuck did you expect....single family suburban homes?
Honestly. This subject is beating a dead horse over and over and over.

Its great to see nitwits like you squirm. And what in the hell do you expect people to live in the middle of nowhere? No community but a noisy transit hub. More people with no infrastructure. I also think the point of this blog is to poke fun at people like you who just want to slash and burn, take the money and run leaving unlivable places destined to be the slums for the 21st Century.
Get used to it. This attitude is the new norm. And they are having fun poking fun at people who think like you do.

HONESTLY, it is assholes like you from top to bottom, why society is shitty, the whole "I don't care" attitude, just get used to it. Like getting used to Trump and his clown administration, which is far from a laughing, just get to used to it crap.
You probably don't vote, do nothing for your community (if that is the case, then you are an elected official), don't read actual REAL newspapers, in other words, you are the typical asshole of the 21st century with the whole crash and burn attitude while making it someone else's problem down the road (another example of elected officials).
The new norm?
NO! You are living in a vanishing world bubble about to burst. Your expectations are fantasy. LIC is zoned for high demsity. Nobody is going back to 1959. I don't like what's happening but the tide is against me AND YOU. Time to leave the Titanic....QUICKLY!

Only a real estate shill or his purchased politician's shill would talk like this - and its you who talks like yesterday.
We are starting to understand better with each year what works and what does not work. Throwing up buildings for a quick buck is what they do in the 3rd world.
You can bullshit 'Crooked Teeth' Costa, or and Jimmy 'No Brainer', but some of us in the real world have a bit more horsepower.
The resistance to this garbage is building. Once that current crop of clowns are gone it will close.
i like the bickering. i hate to say but i agree with the 'too late' crowd here. life is too short to fight this. i love this blog and the information it provides, but to think Queens will be a place id want to live in my lifetime is silly. I left NE Queens 5 years ago and haven't looked back.
If you left Queens you should have known better - there ain't no rainbow out there.
If there was, we would not have every kid and his brother fleeing the vast wasteland the county has become - unless rotting away your time floating in a boat with a fishing line in the water in some cove in N Carolina is your idea of 'living.'
The only thing between us and a NYC nirvana is a group of d*kheads and some half-assed little clique. All you need to do is throw open the door and turn on the light and they run into hiding like the little roaches they are. Every 6 year old knows its fun to stomp on bugs.
This blog is a hell of a lot of fun to a lot of people.
