DeBlasio skates after blaming lawyer

From DNA Info:

Mayor Bill de Blasio broke state law when he and his subordinates steered money towards Democratic state senate campaigns — but he can't be charged with a crime because his lawyer said it was OK, according to the Manhattan District Attorney's office.

"After an extensive investigation, notwithstanding the [Board of Elections'] view that the conduct here may have violated the Election Law, this office has determined that the parties involved cannot be appropriately prosecuted, given their reliance on the advice of counsel," DA Cyrus Vance.

The U.S. Attorney's office in Manhattan also concluded an investigation into the mayor's fundraising and determined on Thursday that no criminal charges would be brought.

Well that pretty much ends our chances of not having the Dope from Park Slope around for another 4 years. Paul Massey spoke with the Tribune recently, but he's running as a Republican in a Democratic town.

Whole thing makes no sense. If i broke the law under advise of counsel we would both be in jail and he or she would most likely also be disbarred.

Not adding up.

When he gets reelected do not complain about the shelters being put in your neighborhoods. He states he will not use hotels so where will these shelters be especially here in Maspeth??
Waiting to see.

Yeah, the only hope is that Dopey loses in the primary. My vote will be for Tony Avella.

Who is surprised by this?

He is a General in the fight against the Evil Trump!

No way he was going to be taken out.

Now he can campaign as being fully cleared of any wrongdoing! Isn't that the Clinton standard?

Don't look now but Silver is going to have his conviction overturned any day now.

That leaves only poor Bruno. He is the wrong party to be let off scott free.

Only in New York....

Or New Jersey......

Or Clinton's America.....

Or Obama's America......

That's the Democrat party for you.

If Preet hadn't resigned, would he have prosecuted the Mayor?

Could it be that Trump did De Faustio a solid by firing Bharara? Because since day one of his mayoralty, he had done nothing but shore up the portfolios and earnings of the predator developers, hedge fund/private equity vultures, and his favored agents/invaders of the city lobbyist groups.

Figurehead Trump and Mayor de Faustio may have different political philosophies, but they are a double decker shit sandwich when it comes to being advantageous and immoral opportunists.

Who knows now what would have happened if Preet stayed on and justice still thrived. If the Dope from park slope got indicted, it might have been the linchpin to overturn Citizens United decision.

Unfortunately, it was the Virginia Governor McDonnell supreme court case that may have saved our corrupt mayor's giant ass.

One more thing, Cy Vance is a pussy and should be fired. I guess if I want to rob a bank, I will seek advice by a lawyer first to see if it's ok.

You know what else, this abrupt acquittal is going to lead to a rise in crime on the streets, since de Faustio has now set a new lower standard in his service to his constituents, and the dregs of society are going to feel justified by the fact that he got off.

So now what happens to Lionel Hutz, I mean Lawrence Laufer. More importantly, what about Emma Wolfe, who by all accounts is the vile unscrupulous rat who pitched him these ideas and perceived loopholes?

Sorry for the blatant plug. But we have an impunity mayor and cabinet in city hall for the impunity city.

And anyone who supports and endorses this bag of shit and dicks is complicit in the ruination and continuing disenfranchisement of the working poor and middle class of the 5 boroughs and should be ravaged constantly for it.

Where is the surprise?

Preet and the boys are Democratic Party stalwarts - one of the reasons that Trump in DC is the best thing for NYC - he will drain the swamp by replacing the hacks and taking away their play money to build their organization at your expense.

I mean, the Dems are talking about $24 million program for illegal non-citizens while Trump is putting the squeeze on people like DeBlaz but cutting funding. You know damn well the city Dems will support DeBlaz and his programs over your interests. They will cut money to you while keeping their pet projects, like DeBlaz, that build their party and keep it moving forward.

They will blame Trump who is trying his best to stop people like DeBlaz.

They would rather hurt you by letting the good programs that support you, the taxpayer, the good citizen, fail rather than man up and realize that putting party before people is a dead end that will not have a good ending for anyone.

It will take longer than need be to get there since almost all of you will unthinkingly follow the people that are making this mess, the Dems, and, blindly attack Trump.

This is why DeBlaz will be elected and his policies will continue.

Its only when you wise up, and go after the fascist Dem goons with video devices, research the deep background, and publish it on blogs like Ol' Crappie will you get off the Plantation and chart the best course for you and your community. Only then will you truly be free and released from the shackles that have bound you and your family for generations.

This will be my final post on Queens Crap, because corruption has only gotten worse over the past decade, and this blog is useless in changing anything that speaks of democracy and the American middle class, both of which are long ago DOA!

The late, great George Carlin was right (see link below). It's never going to get any better, the system is establishment-rigged and entrenched with levels of corruption that even members of organized crime ring families worldwide could never rival, much less surpass (and, the reason for why organized crime exists in the first placea——a purportedly ILLEGAL Mafia versus all city, state, municipal and Federal government's power seized LEGAL Mafia), as We, the People have been hijacked and held as countrywide hostages at gunpoint, and the public be damned (again and STILL)!

Now, I hate to burst everyone's bubble here, but ALL POLITICIANS (not public servants!), are a pathological, treasonous, tratorous SCOURGE of epic, humanitarian (and ecological) fail. They are a collective waste of skin, depleting the Earth of precious oxygen. In fact, despite America's 'Cause & Effect' power grab that cemented a Trump Presidency in the FIRST PLACE (because of the DNC's massive election fraud-and-AMBUSH that toppled Bernie Sander's candidacy without consequence), these voracious thieves are STILL arrogantly grabbing power for themselves at the expense of flag, country and Constitution. That's because they are ALL hopelessly infected with an incurative illness called NAKED GREED, and the epidemic is killing all pretense of public trust, ethics and integrity for ALL living things.

Hence, I've finally stopped the hemorraging, as there is NO MORE BLOOD on my hands; as of right now I have stopped voting altogether until society finally collapses and begins from the ground up again. Because, the left wing and the right wing now belong to the SAME, TERMINALLY DISEASED BIRD (again and STILL)!

As, usual, the late great George Carlin said it best (like ONLY Carlin can):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=acLW1vFO-2Q

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XdH38k0iUgI

P.S. AND, IF YOU INSIST ON BELIEVING IN SOMETHING——then, BELIEVE IN WHAT GEORGE CARLIN SAYS, BECAUSE HE EMBODIES and EMBRACES TRUTH LIKE NO ONE ELSE!

You have to vote Avella in the primary if you want things to start heading in the right direction again.

Funny how we get post and post where the "public" sounds like a whimpering Edith Bunker on a broken record.

The we get a post saying THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ALL POLS ARE PRICKS. WE ARE ALL DEAD.

I tell you guys, keep 'em going. This must be the first time that people in Queens have an opportunity to voice their opinions, and it is a wonder to behold to see some of these comments.

Just think, a form of government that has existed since the 1850s, perhaps even earlier in history is starting to run scared. The party boss. The party rule.

Nothing can stand the withering glance of "Vox Populi!" Humble blogs like this will bring down giants!!

Go for it people, dammit, go for it!!!!!!

Only indirectly. Preet was/is Chuckie Schumer's boy, so he had to go. Got the low hanging fruits in Silver and Skelos, but never touched Wall Street criminals and DeBozo.

Something else, what's up with Avella (and other NY Politicians) by sponsoring a bill to suppress free speech?

Have to agree, George Carlin was light years ahead of his time.

New York Assemblyman Unveils Bill To Suppress Non-Government-Approved Free Speech
by Tyler Durden

Mar 17, 2017 5:35 AM
In a bill aimed at securing a "right to be forgotten," introduced by Assemblyman David I. Weprin and (as Senate Bill 4561 by state Sen. Tony Avella), liberal New York politicians would require people to remove ‘inaccurate,’ ‘irrelevant,’ ‘inadequate’ or ‘excessive’ statements about others...
◦Within 30 days of a ”request from an individual,”
◦“all search engines and online speakers] shall remove … content about such individual, and links or indexes to any of the same, that is ‘inaccurate’, ‘irrelevant’, ‘inadequate’ or ‘excessive,’ ”
◦“and without replacing such removed … content with any disclaimer [or] takedown notice.”
◦“ ‘[I]naccurate’, ‘irrelevant’, ‘inadequate’, or ‘excessive’ shall mean content,”
◦“which after a significant lapse in time from its first publication,”
◦“is no longer material to current public debate or discourse,”
◦“especially when considered in light of the financial, reputational and/or demonstrable other harm that the information … is causing to the requester’s professional, financial, reputational or other interest,”
◦“with the exception of content related to convicted felonies, legal matters relating to violence, or a matter that is of significant current public interest, and as to which the requester’s role with regard to the matter is central and substantial.”
Failure to comply would make the search engines or speakers liable for, at least, statutory damages of $250/day plus attorney fees.

Surprised at Tony for supporting something like this (if its true or we are missing details), but there are very old statutes (dating back to the 1700s in English law) permitting criticism of public figures to be free of libel.

No, you are not protected if you make egregious ad hominum attacks (they eat their children) but on polity it is perfectly fine (donations from developers corrupts public policy and public officials).

Sure, they can pass any law they like.

Now enforce it.

If anything will finally energize the snowflakes it will be told that there are things in this big world they cannot do. You will get a return to the 60s in a heartbeat - which is good.

Finally, it places the stamp of truth on the thinking the public space of the internet is the big gorilla in the room for machine politics. No matter what the pols do, it is here to stay and ultimately will be the machine's destruction.

Need Mr. Avella to quickly distance himself from this type of communist, totalitarian thinking. Otherwise there will be a big price to pay, this is still America regardless what Soros paid, backed politicians think, say or the neo liberal MSM spewing on the airwaves.

****Surprised at Tony for supporting something like this (if its true or we are missing details),***

What do you mean if is true? Why don't pay attention to the details, is official for God's sake, read and weep. Yes, Mr. Avella is a big disappointement to me, I have supported him and now he does this? WTF?

"What do you mean if is true"

Oh it's true, remember these people are Democrats and the guy that told me IS a long time friend high level democrat politician himself. Even HE don't like it.
Some up in Albany are gonna try to ram it through and have it ready for the no good ultra liberal Governor to sign in the middle of the night. The guess is just before the Memorial day weekend break when nobody's paying attention or busy with kids graduations.

Mandatory removing inaccurate information is one thing but Avella is absolutely crazy and Marxist for being on board with such wording ‘inadequate’ ‘irrelevant ‘excessive’ speech. That means any words, criticism, ANYTHING some asshole politician, crook or public figure don't like !!
Yeah, first take away our 2nd Constitutional right and NOW they are coming for the 1st Constitutional right with a rogue state law.

I guess they want to control or shut down all the bloggers and public forums giving them a hard time and making them look bad. Then the only info the public can get will be spoon-fed government approved bullshit and boiler plate from some PR firm or press Secretary.

Just more reasons to get the hell out of N.Y.C. !

If DeBlasio's lawyer, Laurence Laufer, approved this chicanery does he get his law license pulled? Doubtful.

Wow. Does this mean that if I get a lawyer to tell me it's OK to break the law, I can get away with it too? Or does only the Mayor get that privilege?

Anonymous, surely you jest. Why would you run for Mayor if you can't get "that privilege", a 37% pay hike without public approval, get away with Election Finance hijinks approved by your lawyer, and with the Judge's tip passed by your lawyer as a gratuity? It just wouldn't be worth the trouble.
