Monster house blighting neighborhood

MONSTER HOUSE at 233 street and 130th Ave on the border of Laurelton and Rosedale, has haunted this Queens neighborhood since 2008.
Now this MONSTER HOUSE has given birth to a GARBAGE DUMP and a JUNK YARD.
The Queens Borough Commissioner has refused to do anything outside of the stop work order placed on the MONSTER HOUSE in 2009.
This blight has plagued this neighborhood for over EIGHT (8) YEARS.

Welcome to Queens, the Ugly Boro. But we speak 879 different languages and 92% of the population comes from the Third World.

Ghoulish. It looks like The Grim Reaper has decided to reside in southeast Queens. It also looks that even the angel of death can get building permits.

someone should hang from a street lamp for that.

So this issue has been going on for 8 long years and you are telling me that not one city official, not one elected official in this area has stepped up to the damn plate and addressed this properly and see that the situation is remedied. I mean look at that wood, can you spell termites. Look at the garbage. Looks at the junked cars.

A stop work order was placed years ago, back in 2008, but since then NOTHING ( http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/PropertyProfileOverviewServlet?boro=4&houseno=130-06&street=233rd+St&go2=+GO+&requestid=0). And look at the number of complaints that have been filed as well (http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/ComplaintsByAddressServlet?requestid=1&allbin=4863289)

HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE, FOLKS. I mean this is one of the worst sights I have seen, especially considering the rest of the street and neighborhood.

Get used to it. Those cookie cutter ranch houses are under built and the zoning allows monster houses.
You cannot fight it without landmark districting and these ranch burgers do not qualify.

Is that a house or a bunker?

That stopwork order just left things to fester, which just makes things worse for everybody.

What does the makeup of queens have anything to do with this house? It's probably being built by some goon contractor from Long Island using illegal day laborers and has like 10 other houses like this in the works.

Elected officials should hang their heads in shame.

The construction fence must have a permit .... it must be painted green .... it must have signage as any other construction site does. All violations.

As for Sanitation... a 311 complaint that the mess can be seen from the street. A violation.

Are people getting in and hanging out in the building?

Contractor thought he was going to get away with this crap. But someone put a stop to that ugly house. Now let's see what the city will do now. Illegal tow truck business and now a garbage dump site. I wonder which one is worst, maybe the house would have been better at this point.

For passing the audit, the engineer fixed the plans to comply with the zoning. Apprently the builder did nothing to follow the revise plans. The house is too high for its R2 zoning. The Building Dept. should be authorized to demolish any non-complying construction if the builder does not fix it within certain period of time.
