Hoverboard seekers robbed at hooker haven

From the Daily News:

Two Long Island men made a late-night trip to Queens, hoping to buy a “Kool Wheels” hoverboard, only to find themselves ambushed, robbed and bound, the victims told the Daily News.

Brian Taylor, 40, and Walter Roth, 34, went to a home on 103rd St. and 33rd Ave. in Jackson Heights, a known brothel according to cops, on Sunday, answering an ad selling hoverboards for $100 to $200, the victims said.

As they entered, three men grabbed them from behind, one of them brandishing a black handgun, police sources and the victims said.

Yes! I was going to a brothel with a handful of cash to 'buy a hoverboard'.

Isn't that what the kids are calling it these days?

Merry Christmas to me!

Usually going to a brothel results in something rising ... but a hoverboard was further down on the list.

Yeah, and Russell Crowe was annoyed that Virgin Australia airlines wouldn't let him bring his children's hoverboards with them on an airplane because they have a tendency to burst into flames. What's next ... banning children's flamethrowers? Starting to sound like the toys that Irwin Mainway (Dan Aykroyd) used to market on Saturday Night Live, back when SNL was actually funny.

I wonder if this has anything to do with certain council members trying to get these legalized to ride on side walks? Why, of all the things in the city that you should be working on a s a council member, you decide to fight for "hover board rights". Cash in paper bags, delivered to your campaign headquarters, perhaps?

Only a Rube would.

The NYPD especially the 115th precinct is aware of the prostitution that goes on around this area of Queens but hasnt stepped up to the plate. They no longer do foot patrols in the area. They are letting things get worse. They know what has to be done. Stop being lazy!! Chop Chop!@

I went to the US Open this past summer and was shocked at the amount of security that is involved. The city rather pull all its resource away from protecting our neighborhoods for some rich european schmucks for 3 weeks out of the year. Shame on them.
