Trib endorses Bob Friedrich!

Queens Tribune
The Queens Tribune has released its endorsement for the 23rd council Democratic district primary and they bypassed county boy Barry Grodenchik and union favorite Rebecca Lynch and instead endorsed Bob Friedrich. Wonder what happened there.

City Council Watch is also calling it for Friedrich.

And The Times endorsed Ali Najmi.

And the Times endorsing a South Asian is par for the course. He fits their lefty profile.

LOL....the Times?
Behind the times , as usual!
Their endorsement is almost a guarantee for failure.
Who reads the Times anymore?
Not in Queens!
That overly liberal rag is still trying to promote itself as the newspaper of record.
The only ones still believing that, are out of touch foreigners who carry the oversized, standard edition, neatly tucked under their arm to show the rest of their compatriots that they are with it.
" Look at me, I read the New York Times".
Well, the "Old Gray Lady" ain't what she used to be.
It has dwindled into a becoming a biased newsrag...slightly to the left of Lenin.

Bob is the best candidate by far. The Trib did something right for a change.

Bob will prove to be a breath of fresh air in a formerly corrupt district.
The Weprins have imposed their dynastic rule since the early 1970s.
And the district shows it. But today is a whole new ball game, it appears...
for both the Tdibune and voters alike.
The light is shining. Grab for it. Let's extinguish the wannabee hacks, like Grodenchick's 4 watt "brilliance".
and replace it with some super bright LEDs.
Say goodnight, Barry.

You read it here first: For sure, the Times will endorse Hillary. The Times covers her campaign almost daily, ignoring the other three Dem challengers.

Queens Tribune received several payments for ads of Glen Oaks Village promoting rentals. No surprise here.

I guess County are plunging the knife into Barry Grodenchik's back. Poor him. He had to find out from the Tribune's editorial. The County machine in Queens is vicious, and apparently back-stabbing.

Ok people, for the record, Bob Friedrich made everyone pay for windows in the sum of $550 which they didn't have to. Residents argued and protested against their hard earned money, still Bob went ahead by placing lien to those who refused to pay. Its his way or get out of Glen Oaks Village. How do you justify someone like that to be our councilman!

How about the co-op board votes on these issues, they aren't made up by one person, and you should have understood that before you bought a co-op. Next.

You do realize that $550 for a new set of windows is a steal right? You also realize that installing new windows in 5000 units will cost a LOT more than $275k right? You ALSO realize that installing new windows probably saves the coop hundreds of thousands a year in heating/cooling costs right? Finally, you also know that the coop has a board that votes on this stuff, and that you have a right to go speak at meetings and have your say about these issues, and that you too can run for the board if you would like to make management decisions in the coop right?

No, I guess you don't understand any of this. Maybe coop living isn't for you?

The Glen Oaks Village Co-op board is controlled by one man. His name is Bob Friedrich. Do you live here? I do. No one is allowed to take a vote and the board members clearly told me that Bob is in charge of the co-op as the single person to make decisions around here. I tried to run for the board and so did others. We were all denied. Its Bob's power play.

It would seem you are unhappy with Bob as your board president. The best way to get rid of him is to vote for him for council, then he'll have to resign as co-op president. And he can't be a dictator on a legislative body of 51.

The mayor pac donated 25k to rebecca lynch campaign. neither one have comments about it. Both of them are liars and untrustworthy. If you want more crime and your money spend on "their" agenda then please vote for her. Both she and the mayor are beholden to party bosses, the corrupt working family party, corrupt labor leaders. All your earned money taken to support these parasites. Not to mention also to support criminals as the pedophile rebecca lynch hired to know your doors. LOL

Bob Friedrich is loud and obnoxious. just will be a gadfly in city hall . he won't accomplish anything. Vote for the republican candidate or vote for Najimi the real progressive. the rest are political hacks.

I thought Steve Behar was a Heroic Queenscrap reformist in the spirit of paul graziano. but know he is serving Grodenchik and the County Machine.

Considering that this is the extent of the Behar postings on this blog, I fail to see how you came up with that conclusion. Some of you folks out there must live too close to Tallman Island.

He's also a Muslim, and that also fits the profile.

It looks like a lot of trolls are posting for Grodenchick, who is too limp wristed to do anything for himself.
He is a lifer with no new ideas. He can only dance to the tune that the county org plays.

Now that county org is iuneasy because the Trib did not support their pick, Barry.
Tough shit, old bump on a log. Now Barry will have to stay in his Queens local yokel job.

He is too under qualified to play on the council team.....with the real big league city boys.
Backwater Barry. At his "best" in the bunghole of Queens politics.

Yeah, Grodenchick can "get along" in the city council following REBNY's orders to ruin northeast Queens.
Friedrich will fight to maintain northeast Queens quality of life.

Bob is the best choice and the only democratic candidate that deserves to win this primary. The other guys sre clueless to the real issues.

Who cares what the tribune says? Won't change a single vote.

Anonymous said...

If that is so? Then why did Gary Ackerman start up the Queens Tribune? It was to promote himself. The Trib plays a very important role in politics, old friend. And they said NO to boring Barry. Does Grodenchick even register a pulse rate? He looks like he needs a good shot of B12 to wake him up.

Just look at the body language in this photo. Barry looks like he's passed out.
Do you really want this flunkie toad in the city council? Not on my dime or with my vote!
Grodenchick represents the tired old 1960s...where a hand me down party hack gets his turn in office after he has served his time polishing doorknobs at the Democratic county machine office.
The fact that the Trib endorsed Friedrich could indicate that the old times are changing in Queens.

All the old ladies read the tribune, of course it will change votes.
