What the heck is a semi-basement?

From Property Pusher:

So, is a "semi-basement" the same as a cellar? Because that's certainly what this looks like.

Only $1150? A bargain to live with water bugs and cockroaches. Pray for a burst pipe and you've got a luxurious indoor swimming pool.

You could squeeze a dozen cots there. The home owner would be required to provide cooked meals for Deblasios
new guests.

People these days will rent any part of their house out. If you can't afford your single family house, then you had no business buying one In the first place.

Whatever it is you are paying over $1000 for a one room shit hole in not the greatest neighborhood. Only in NYC.

What a vile shithole!

They can use the backyard to throw parties during the summer and keep their neighbors up all night .
Queens: Vibrant. Diverse.

this is an illegal apartment -- I know where it is -- just terrible -- someone should call the DOB but then again they are a joke also

Interestingly, the website seems to be defunct. It was fine yesterday when I put this post together.

15 minutes to Manhattan ?!!!!!

Liars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is worse than a third-world apartment. Even the sand/mud homes with the straw rooftops in Africa look more welcoming than this dump.

Screw all the DOB issues, let them do what they want.
But tax the owners for the number of people in their dwelling.

This is the type of bullshit apartment I used to go after when I was the Enforcement Chairman for BP Schulmans Illegal Conversion Task Force. That was one good thing she did. BP Marshall and the real estate friendly pols have let it grow again in Queens and Brooklyn. It's going to take a couple more deaths before someone decides to play hero. I will take my position back free of charge if BP Katz wants to avoid deaths and building s fires...etc.....

Can be retrofitted to accommodate cock fighting events.
You can sell tickets to help defray the rent.

A few days after that Daily News gentrification declaration and some douche posts this.

I am sure the reason why it was taken down is because some hipster sucker graphic designer (cr)app artist already put down 3000 grand for it.

keep up the muckraking crappy.

I saw an apartment like this behind the Carvel at Francis Lewis and 29th Ave.

Exactly the same - no kitchen!!!!!

The people renting it out - renters themselves - did not
a. speak English
b. want any cooking
c. required pass through access to get to the backyard and laundry

And this is why Queens has become a Third World shithole - because this has become the norm wherever you have latinos or Asians.
