We don't have the craftsmen to do proper repair work anymore, when it comes to quality finishes.
All the italian and irish mult-generational contractors are gone, and have been replaced with hispanic laborers that do this work now as odds-and-ends jobs that change week to week.

That's ridiculous. MTA has some very talented mosaic artists on staff. No reason not to do this right.
So the mosaics at Flushing Meadows aren't the only neglected ones in this city.
