Johnny's new teaching gig

From the Daily News:

It's back to school for former city Controller John Liu — but now he’ll be at the head of the class.

Liu, who also ran in the 2013 Democratic race for mayor, on Wednesday began a part-time gig teaching municipal finance and policy at Baruch College.

From the Baruch College course description catalog:

"This course will give students some real world municipal finance experience by including prominent Democratic Party guest speakers such as chairwoman of the NY City Council Finance Committee Julissa Ferreras.

As an added bonus, Professor Liu will conjure the spirit of another Democratic Party financial wizard - former Orange County (California) Treasurer-Tax Collector Robert Citron!!! Mr. Citron's failed investment strategies led to the declaration of Chapter 9 bankruptcy by Orange County on December 6, 1994."

Are there any prerequisites for taking this course?

including prominent Democratic Party guest speakers

Although this is a public college that theoretically promotes and stimulates intellectual curiosity and creativity, we will only include speakers from the Democratic Party. Republicans need not apply...

Is he also going to teach them how to them how to set up fake donors to help these students run for mayor In the future too?

Somewhere there's an executive who actually did the work of municipal finance either for a city, bank, or investment adviser who did not get this teaching gig.

Picking Liu screws the students who will need to learn elsewhere how to do the job if they want to be employed in municipal finance.
