That's why Queens' LIRR riders pay a premium fare, compared to the fares of other Long Islanders, traveling much further distances.
We, in Queens, underwrite their lower fares.
Now, if this we the Great Neck Station it would be another story.
That high concentration of wealthy Iranian Jews (the second largest in the country) would never put up with this kind of crap.

Did the thought that this may be a temporary handrail ever cross anyones mind? I have never seen wood used as a permanant handrail. Maybe the final product hasn't been delivered. Food for thought.

I beg to differ. The Broadway Flushing station was recently cleaned up, homeless taken away and new air conditioner purchased for the waiting room. All because people in the community took the time to document what was wrong and inform the proper authorities.
You have to do more than complain.
And with what's come into City Council you better start looking after your community yourself.
