Weiner comes in second only to Quinn

From the NY Post:

A week after floating his name as a possible mayoral candidate, the disgraced former congressman finishes second when he’s included in the field of Democrats, a new poll reveals.

Weiner — who resigned from office in 2011 after getting caught in a sexting scandal — said he’s mulling a political comeback by running for mayor.

The Marist poll is the first to include Weiner, and shows him pulling 15 percent of the Democratic vote in a hypothetical race — trailing only Council Speaker Christine Quinn, who garners 26 percent.

Weiner outpolls two current citywide officeholders — Comptroller John Liu and Public Advocate Bill de Blasio — and former city Comptroller Bill Thompson, the 2009 Democratic nominee for mayor.

Liu receives 12 percent of the vote, and de Blasio and Thompson get 11 percent apiece.

A sizable 22 percent of the Democratic electorate is still undecided and 3 percent support goes to former City Councilman Sal Albanese or other candidates.

He'll gain on that abrasive developer's whore Quinn, very shortly. I intend to vote for him. Others will too.

So Anthony flashed online...dumb...but nothing to do with his being qualified to be a decent mayor.

Generally speaking...his politics are good...compared to the other crooks running against him.

So I forgive his one time adolescent mistake.

Is there no shame?

Knew Weiner was going to be a substantial force in the election. Quinn's negatives are quite high and going to be higher after a flurry of negative ads start hitting the airwaves.

Quite frankly, I'll vote for Weiner. He always delivered for his constituents in Queens.

I would vote for Weiner over Quinn.

Anthony Weiner would bring to the city just the kind of principled, fiscally responsible leadership it needs. Between his vast experience in the private sector, his visionary leadership in Congress and the upstanding way he has always conducted himself, he is the perfect candidate. Can't wait until he announces.

"nothing to do with his being qualified to be a decent mayor"

You mean like good judgement ?

There was a time when we held high standards for those we elected. Sadly that's been changing in the past 30-40 years.

Weiner would have been laughed at 40 years ago if he ran for office.

Imagine Wiener vs Moynihan for senator.
A mental midget vs a mental giant.

Ant-knee Weeeenah is a pervert creep who would be perfect for you fools in NYC. He would treat you putzes the same way he treated his pregnant wife.

Can you believe that schnozz of his? Either he is Semitic or Italian.

I would definitely vote for Weiner over Quinn and Liu. Deblasio and Thompson are ok as well. But we definitely should not be voting in a Neo-Bloomberg-Quinnie.

2/3 GOP NYC Council owes Ognibene. Ognibene is their real candidate for mayor.
