Ticket-fixing investigation comes to Queens

From the Daily News:

An internal probe of alleged ticket-fixing by Bronx cops has expanded to Queens and Manhattan, police sources said Thursday.

Records were pulled this week from the 106th and 107th Precincts in Ozone Park and Fresh Meadows, along with a highway unit in Queens. The Internal Affairs Bureau also seized records from the 26th Precinct stationhouse in Morningside Heights and the 32nd Precinct stationhouse in Harlem.

It wasn't immediately clear if IAB investigators are focusing on particular officers or if the inquiry is broader in scope.

No surprise that the 106 would be involved in fixing tickets. They have no regard for parking regulations themselves. Just look at the photo of all their cars completely blocking the sidewalk so that pedestrians are forced to walk in the street (the condition's the same on the other side of the street as well).

No surprise for sure. Some people in that neighborhood expect all parking tickets to be fixed for them.

Thatis called "combat parking". the idea being that they can reaspond faster to emrgencies. But yes, they should park a block or 2 away so it's easier for pedestrians.Just don't complaian when boofus robs your wife and the police get there 25 minutes later.....

A relative was arrested for disorderly conduct. He was taken to the Queens Courthouse where he was denied bathroom access for 24 hours and made to sleep on the concrete floor overnight. He is a 60 year old man. When he tried to ask the judge why the guy who hit him was not arrested to the bailiff said, "Sit your ass down."
When a neighbor's girlfriend was mugged and went to the 107th police station for help, the cop said if you don't shut up, I'll put a bullet in your face and your own mother won't recognize you.
When my father, afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease was missing, a cop from the 107th told my mother, you probably nagged him, he ran away.

This is one of the worst police station that has ever existed
