More goose gassing this summer

From the NY Post:

Goose hunters are casting a wider net this summer for the pesky, plane-threatening flyers.

This year’s Canada goose cull will expand to a seven mile radius around Kennedy and LaGuardia airports, up from last year’s five-mile radius.

Over the next month, city and federal workers will remove geese from Fort Totten Park, Flushing Meadows Park, and other "targeted" areas, officials said.

Last year, the US Department of Agriculture removed more than 1,200 Canada geese from 17 sites, sending them to goose gas chambers.

City officials have also removed geese and prevented goose eggs from hatching at Rikers Island, and installed don’t-feed-the-birds signs in 40 parks.

Okay, once again, the birds that tend to take down airplanes are migratory geese. The ones we see in our parks don't migrate. They hardly ever even fly. They have no reason to. They are opportunistic and everything they want to do is happening on the ground. Therefore, goose killing is unnecessary and a waste of taxpayer money.

and the hispanic christine quinn - Margarita Lopez will kill over 600 cats in Ravenswood instead of permitting a group to do TNR at their own expense. Bloomberg and Quinn hate animals. What ugly fuckers.

Gas the tire slasher instead.

This reminds me of the whole west nile scare. A few old people croak and they gas every backyard for weeks. The result? The grasshopper, dragonfly and firefly population is nearly extinct in Western Queens but mosquitoes are still rampant.

I wish we could gas some of our elected officials when they cause us trouble.
