Don't feel sorry for these guys - the are poltical foamers, junkies, who love to debate endlessly the fine points of policy, brag that they 'write' bills, parrot their wannabe bosses by making snide remarks about Tony Avella, and claw over each other to get into photo ops with hacks in office.
And for God's sake, do not complain about any politican to them because it will get back to the boss - in exchange for a doggy bone or the like.

As to people of color joining Young Democrats, why of course, that is why they are there - to find new channels - not of change - but to tweed.

One of the reasons more and more a turning to registering as Independants. If it can happen in Mass. for heavens sake, how long will it take in NYC to wake up? Or are we still stuck in a bygone era dreaming of Al Smith and Robert Kennedy?

The people who get involved with this do it because they want to join the darkside and eventually get the chance to steal from us and the city.
They've come to the conclusion that if you don't have a place at the table, then you're on the menu.
