From Eyewitness News:
Two Rikers Island correction officers are facing departmental charges after a photo of one of them sleeping on the job circulated among fellow officers.
Eyewitness News has learned 30-year-old Nadja Green, the sleeping officer, will face departmental charges of sleeping on post, as well as others.
47-year-old Claudel Barrau, who apparently took the photo with his cell phone camera, faces departmental charges of no cell phone in jail and no photographs in jail.
Possession and use of cell phones in jails, even by guards, is prohibited.
And she's been caught sleeping on the job before.

I think it's great that the rat who took The photo got jammed up.No one looks out for each other anymore.
Wake up, lil Nadja, wake up.
There is one place you don't want to catnap in because you will wake up with a shiv in you. She has to find a safer line of work if she is going to nod off.
By the way, some of these guards work a fierce number of hours.

Yea because the blue wall of silence doesn't exist any more...
Just how the NYPD create their own rules and laws, the correction officers do the same. United States consitution/Bill of rights are nullified upon entering Rikers Island.
Never understood how people can sleep upright in a chair.
I bet she would be one of the loudest people at the union meeting screaming how they deserve better contracts!
MTA workers sleeping on the job, Rikers guards sleeping on the job, TSA agents boarding people with bombs in their underwear? Can we find any people that actually want to work and do their jobs the correct way? Oops I almost forgot the 5 or 6 NYC sanitation workers that were hanging out in someones house for extended lunch hours. Have any of these people actually been fired or just reprimanded?
Nice to see this pic bag these useless folks. Re: Sanitation folks - I understand their deal is an incentive one which they must complete 20% more than their route to get bonus pay instead of more expensive OT within set hours to acheive it. So if they have extended lunch - so be it they lose out if they are not productive.
I wonder what day of overtime is she on? People are exhausted
